  • Patent number: 11039707
Abstract: A microencapsulated delivery system, composition or method is disclosed in which one or more agents to be delivered are encapsulated in small capsules (e.g., microcapsules), and the capsules are applied or adhered to one or more surfaces of a substrate. The encapsulated agent is latently released upon exposure to appropriate conditions.

  • Patent number: 9999864
Abstract: Presently, there exists a need for a method of mixing (stirring) the ingredients of a liquid preparation within a container without the introduction of any device or manual implement to agitate the contents mechanically. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method a convenient, economical and effective method of mixing utilizing a chemical reaction to facilitate liquid motion in a container without the use of a stirring implement or external mechanical intervention.

  • Publication number: 20110253622
Abstract: The present invention provides a convenient and cost effective method of imprinting both text and images on certain filter materials such as those used in automatic coffee makers or as envelopes for the steeping of tea. The imprint must therefore be indelible, water resistant, non-toxic, temperature-resistant within the parameters of the application and the image reproduction must be crisp and permanent. Although the above-mentioned application is specific, it must be understood that the technology described herein includes, but is not limited to, the imprinting of filter paper and may be applied wherever indelible marking of certain appropriate substrates may be desired. The following describes both a method and system for indelibly marking a fabric, paper or any other fibrous material without the use of a pigmented liquid or thin-film transfer.

  • Publication number: 20090095164
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of imparting flavor enhancers, (flavorings) flavor or aroma masking agents, medicinal additives, fragrances, vitamins, colorants, homeopathic and herbal remedies, appearance and characteristic modifiers and other ingredients to a brewed or steeped beverage such as coffee or tea by means of a microencapsulated delivery system incorporated onto a substrate or filter material such as those used in drip coffee makers or tea bags. The microcapsules are “printed” or laminated to the substrate filter paper in a pattern that allows water to pass through while the microcapsules filled with a flavoring liquid or solid is dissolved thus releasing the contents into the water stream resulting in a flavor-enhanced beverage.

  • Patent number: 5977729
Abstract: An electrochemical radial cell engine comprising an engine block, a motor supported by the engine block, at least one electrochemical reaction cell including a rotatable enclosure containing a source of anode material, preferably in the form of a multiplicity of anode particles, a fluid electrolyte, a cathode surrounding and radially spaced from the rotatable enclosure and means for rotating the rotatable enclosure in response to rotation of the motor. The enclosure should preferably be represented by a perforated cage having a mesh size large enough to pass fluid electrolyte. Rotation of the cage causes the anode particles to be compressed by centripetal forces which act upon the particles as the cage spins. This maximizes the operating efficiency of the electrochemical reaction cell(s) providing enhanced power for driving the engine.
