Abstract: An electric motor system has a plurality of axially aligned stators and a corresponding plurality of axially aligned rotors, carried on the same shaft and angularly disposed relative one another, and a commutating device for causing an overlap in the energization of a pair of stator windings of one stator with a pair of stator windings of another stator, the overlapping energization being cyclic. The motor is powered from a source of energy and, in conjunction with a plurality of diodes and a resistance, circuits are established for producing a return current to the source as the magnetic fields of the stator cyclically operate.
