Abstract: An apparatus for assembling battery cells or battery modules together each having electrical terminals that must be subjected to a welding operation. The apparatus includes a tool for engaging and holding the battery cells or the battery modules to be welded, which can be moved along at least two axes to carry and maintain one or more battery cells or battery modules in a configuration r position suitable for welding the electrical terminals to at least one of respective electrical connecting elements or welding said electrical terminals to each other. The apparatus also includes a welding head carried by said tool and arranged to perform welding operations on the electrical terminals to be welded.

Abstract: A lid assembly, for a floor mounted utility box allowing data/electrical cable connections, including: a frame, a lid, and a flap, wherein the frame is mounted upon the utility box so that, it lies substantially flush with the floor. The lid including rear, front panels hingedly connected; the rear edge of the rear panel hingedly connected to the rear edge of the frame. The flap is hingedly connected to the front panel, so that when the lid is closed, at least the rear/front panels lay flat and substantially flush with the level of the floor. When opened, the lid bifolds about the hinged connection between the rear/front panels, causing the forward edge of the front panel slide towards the rear edge of the frame, so that when the lid is moved to its fully opened position, the rear/front panels substantially overlay one another in the vicinity of the rear of the frame.

Abstract: In combination, a can of paint having a top opening, the opening being bounded by a bead formed into a circle, a hollow frusto-conical member with top and bottom openings and the bottom opening smaller than the top opening, the member being force fit into the opening with the bottom opening within the can, the member being made from a rigid thermoplastic material with the wall being crushed by the force fit thereby forming a liquid tight fit with the bead.

Abstract: The lower portion of an oil salvage intensity separation chamber is supported in a body of fluid, such as sea-water, upon which a contaminent, such as oil, is floating and in such a manner that there is relative movement between the chamber's lower portion and the oil contaminated sea-water; so that the contaminent oil moves into the chamber and, because of its lighter density the oil in globs or globlets, floats up through a column of sea-water collected in the chamber to be separated into a layer floating on top of the sea-water column. The relative movement is accomplished by mounting the chamber between the pontoons of a catamaran type vessel. A positionable scoop directs the oil into an inlet opening provided in the lower portion of the chamber; while a deflector directs the oil up into the column of sea-water. Positionable sea gates are provided to either open the bottom of the chamber to the sea-water, or to close same off therefrom.
