Abstract: A family of integrated filter forward converters includes a filter inductor is magnetically included in the transformer assembly. A basic circuit includes a DC voltage source, two cross-coupled capacitors, a clamp diode, a power switch, two identical transformers (or equivalent to a transformer and a filter inductor), two rectifying diodes, a filter capacitor and a load resistor. Several useful versions can be obtained by modifying the basic circuit for different applications. Both the input and output currents of the present invention can yield continuous current operation.
