  • Publication number: 20260067632
Abstract: A first electronic device used by a first user can determine whether a second electronic device that is being used by a second user is located within a threshold distance of the first electronic device. The first electronic device may be presenting a first extended reality (XR) environment to the first user and the second electronic device may be presenting a second XR environment to the second user. The first electronic device, in response to the second electronic device being located within the threshold distance, can perform acoustics processing for nearby spatial audio. For example, the first electronic device can play a voice of the second user with a sound adjustment. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20250380101
Abstract: Aspects of the subject technology provide individual volume controls for concurrently operating audio sources at an electronic device. The audio sources may be spatialized audio sources that are associated with display objects that are displayed to appear at various three-dimensional locations around a user of the electronic device, such as in an extended reality environment. In this way, an electronic device may provide the user with the ability to individually control the volumes of the various audio streams originating from the various three-dimensional locations around the user. The individual volume controls may be applied according to individual volume control curves, and/or based on a user intent determined by the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20250103272
Abstract: A method includes measuring an environmental parameter that indicates a sensory condition at a location of an electronic device within a physical environment. The method includes determining whether the environmental parameter is within an acceptable range. The method includes, in response to determining that the environmental parameter is not within the acceptable range, triggering presentation of augmented content in order to enhance the sensory condition at the location of the electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20250104678
Abstract: A method includes displaying, on a display, virtual acoustic instruments as being overlaid onto a pass-through of a physical environment. The method includes performing, based on respective characteristics of the virtual acoustic instruments, an acoustic simulation in order to generate estimated acoustic parameters for respective locations within the physical environment. The method includes displaying, on the display, an indication of the estimated acoustic parameters.

  • Publication number: 20250106582
Abstract: Some examples of the disclosure are directed to systems and methods for dynamically updating simulated source locations of audio sources within spatialized audio content based on detection of a change in the location and/or orientation of an audio output device (e.g., earbuds or speakers that are optionally worn by a user and are optionally included in a headset). In some examples, the simulated source locations are updated if the change in the location and/or orientation of the audio output device is greater than a threshold amount of change, and the simulated source locations are not updated if the change in the location and/or orientation of the audio output device is not greater than the threshold amount of change. In some examples, a simulated source location is identified in a three-dimensional environment. In some examples, a mode of outputting audio is changed in response to movement of an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 5611284
Abstract: A railtruck apparatus is provided for supporting a railcar body on two longitudinally spaced wheel and axle sets. The railtruck includes a frame having two side frame members, each defining a pair of longitudinally spaced cradles. A bearing housing is received in each cradle and includes a top wall, two longitudinally spaced side walls depending from the top wall, and an open bottom sized for receipt over a journal bearing of one of the wheel and axle sets. A removable bottom cap closes off each bearing housing to permit assembly and disassembly of the wheel and axle sets. A primary suspension is positioned between each bearing housing and the frame for supporting the frame on the bearing housing, and is retained in position on the frame when the frame is raised relative to the bearing housing. Thus, when the wheel and axle sets are removed from the apparatus, the bearing housings and the primary suspension assemblies are retained on the frame.

  • Patent number: 4793449
Abstract: A railroad truck having at least four wheels comprising brakes for braking the wheels; a single enclosed air cylinder mounted on the truck; the air cylinder having first and second chambers; a conduit to supply service air pressure to the first chamber; the first chamber containing a piston pneumatically operated by service air pressure to apply controlled service braking pressure, emergency braking pressure and, when the truck is stopped, parking braking pressure, to the brakes; the second chamber containing a spring which applies automatic parking pressure to the brakes when the truck is stopped, and applies emergency fail-safe pressure to the brakes when there is a pneumatic system failure to supply air to the first chamber; apparatus to supply pressurized air to the second chamber to keep the spring from applying pressure to the brakes so long as adequate air pressure is maintained in the second chamber; a handbrake assembly mounted on the truck in a position readily accessible for manual operation when t
