  • Patent number: 12608082
Abstract: Methods were formulated and applied to create and use a wearable hand interface device that is physically and digitally sculpted to accommodate the geometry of the human palm in a resting position while requiring minimal movement on behalf of the user. Comfortable harnessing material spans over the top of the hand. Structures which may be rigid or adjustable place input contact surfaces directly underneath and slightly above each fingertip of a user so that only a slight twitch of the fingers is needed to operate the device The precisely sculpted palm receiving surface and placement of contact surfaces in the natural curl path of the fingers ensures the hand does not move around during use. Refreshable braille cells may be mounted at the user's fingertips if desired. The nature of this device allows its user to activate sensor switches in a wide range of hand positions.

  • Patent number: 12079387
Abstract: A hand-wearable device outfitted with data interface electronics is provided. The device is secured to its user by means of a comfortable material integrated across the top of the hand. The device includes a central palm section containing complex three-dimensional geometry and modular features for adjustable structures to house switch sensors. These structures account for each fingertip's location and orientation relative to the rest of the user's hand. Features to accommodate the comfortable securing material are built into the device to ensure the device does not shift or move around relative to the user's hand while being worn and operated. Integrated switch sensor and various power and transistor-based electronics allow the device to function and communicate with other computers and like devices. The device is worn on the left, right, or both hands simultaneously to enable access to the maximum number of potential sensor commands for a user.

  • Publication number: 20170285618
Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods and computer-readable medium for developing a custom design for a prosthetic for a residual limb comprising: measuring, using a scanning apparatus, a usable measurement of the residual limb; and creating, using a computing device, a design for a prosthetic for at least a portion of a missing portion of the residual limb, wherein the prosthetic is proportionally sized according to a correlation between the usable measurement and normal anthropometric measurements.
