  • Patent number: 12644374
Abstract: A method to unload a fluid mixture from an underground production tubing, in order to reduce the hydrostatic pressure within the fluid mixture. A method to kill an oil or gas well by equalizing pressure between the production tubing, the casing annulus, and a surface tank battery, by de-pressurizing the fluid within the production tubing and the casing annulus, and by pumping a kill fluid. One goal of the methods may be to avoid discharging unwanted liquid phase or gas phase to the atmosphere, therefore reducing unnecessary emissions, and valuing the recovered products.

  • Publication number: 20260118154
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evacuating and recapturing fluids from meter provers. The systems and methods include a pump having an inlet and an outlet, a first conduit arranged to couple the inlet to a discharge section of a prover after completing a calibration of a meter of a flowline, a second conduit arranged to couple the outlet to any one of a downstream section of the flowline, a containment pipeline and a pressure vessel, and a controller communicatively coupled to the pump and arranged to cause the pump to perform operations including: pulling the fluid from an upstream section of the flowline into the prover, pulling the fluid from the discharge section of the meter at a first pressure, cross-compressing the fluid, and pumping the fluid at the second pressure into any one of the downstream section of the flowline, the containment pipeline and the pressure vessel.

  • Publication number: 20260085795
Abstract: Systems and methods for recovering hydrocarbon liquids from oil and gas pipelines are provided that include a tap provided in a section of pipe within a pipeline, wherein the tap includes a straw arranged to extend within the section of the pipe to a low point of the section of pipe; and a pump or compressor arranged to be fluidically coupled to the tap via a first conduit, wherein the pump or compressor is arranged to: draw liquid from the low point of the section of pipe via the tap and the conduit until a pressure within the section of pipe drops to a predetermined pressure; cross-compress the liquid, to raise the pressure from a first pressure to a second pressure that is higher than the first pressure; and inject the liquid at the second pressure back into the pipeline at a location downstream of the tap or into another adjoining pipeline or into a customer asset or into a storage container via a second conduit.

  • Patent number: 12571294
Abstract: A method to evacuate a fluid mixture from an underground storage location with the use or regulation control of cross-compression technique. The method allows to evacuate and recover a fluid mixture from an underground storage location. The fluid mixture typically contains a hydrocarbon fluid phase and a brine phase. The method includes separating the fluid mixture in the hydrocarbon fluid phase and the brine phase, inside the separation vessel, and then alternatively pumping each phase of the fluid mixture contained inside the separation vessel towards dedicated containment volumes, using a single pump or multiple pumps, whereby a first containment volume is dedicated to the hydrocarbon fluid phase and a second containment volume is dedicated to the brine phase. The proposed method allows recovering a higher proportion of the fluid mixture, as recycled product, and therefore limiting the combustion or release of hydrocarbon towards the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20260055854
Abstract: Systems and methods for temporary product capture, containment, and buffering to assist with hydrocarbon recompression and recapture operations in oil and gas environments is provided. In some aspects, the systems and methods are adapted to control a flow of fluid from an upstream location of a flowline of an oil and gas well into an inflatable, via a first conduit, until either a head pressure of the fluid within the flowline reaches a predetermined head pressure or a volume of fluid within the inflatable reaches a predetermined inflatable volume limit.

  • Publication number: 20240328267
Abstract: A method to capture gasses from an upstream underground well during a frac plug drill-out operations, with the use of multiple separation vessels, cross-compression units, flaring and regulation control. The method allows capturing gasses out of a fluid mixture, from the underground well, with flowing the fluid mixture from the underground well towards sequentially a mud-gas separation vessel and a separation vessel, whereby the fluid mixture contains a solid and liquid phase and a gas phase. The method also includes separating the fluid mixture into the solid and liquid phase and the gas phase. The method further includes simultaneously flowing the gas phase towards a flare for burning and towards a sales line, through one or more cross-compression units. One goal of the method may be to recover most of the gas phase towards the sales line for valuing it instead of discharging it to the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20240173649
Abstract: A method to drawdown pipe sections with the use or regulation control of flaring and cross-compression technique. The method allows to evacuate a fluid mixture from a drawdown section. The fluid mixture typically contains a liquid phase and a gas phase. The method includes flowing the fluid mixture from the drawdown section towards a separation vessel, and then out of the separation vessel to simultaneously flow the gas phase towards a flare for burning and flow the liquid phase towards one or more pumps towards an adjoining section. The proposed method allows recovering a higher proportion of the fluid mixture, as recycled product, and therefore limiting the combustion of the gas phase towards the atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20160204937
Abstract: System and methods are provided for securely recording private data, including but not limited to medical health data. The system and methods include a first input adapted to receive unencrypted private data and a second input adapted to receive a public key. An encryption unit is adapted to receive the private data from the first input and the public key from the second input and to provide an output of encrypted private data. A storage memory receives the encrypted data, the memory having an input adapted to receive the output of encrypted private data from the encryption unit. Overall, the system is characterized in that the private data is stored in the storage memory solely in the form of encrypted private data provided as output from the encryption unit and not as unencrypted private data.
