  • Patent number: 9352065
Abstract: Scent dispenser arrangement for dispersing fragrance into a HVAC system includes a flow sensor and a scent disperser assembly having a control module connected to the flow sensor and a canister for emitting a spray which is actuated by the control module. The flow sensor operates in response to air flow and creates an air flow dependent electrical signal transmitted to activate the control module of the spray disperser assembly. The scent disperser and flow sensor are arranged to allow the spray to be disbursed in selective locations in the HVAC system. An embodiment involves two scent disperser assemblies electrically connected in series which operate successively when the liquid in one disperser assembly is depleted or when one disperser assembly dispersers a predetermined number of sprays.

  • Patent number: 8673235
Abstract: A dispenser assembly for supporting a fragrance control unit comprising a canister and a controller or comprising a wafer support plate, fragrance wafers and a fan unit are disclosed. The controller includes a timer, a computer program for the dispersing rate, and a mechanism for activating a spray mechanism of the canister. An embodiment includes a back plate pivotally connected to a front sconce cover and having a tapered structure. Further embodiments include a sconce cover and back plate wherein studs in the sconce cover enter the back plate and the sconce cover is slid upwardly along the back plate and secured in place. Slits in the sconce cover and a top opening allows dispersion of the fragrance. Further embodiments include a sconce cover hinged to the back plate. The sconce cover includes logos and/or decorative designs, e.g. bronco, Southwestern pottery and floral arrangements with slits for dispersing the fragrance.

  • Patent number: 5263104
Abstract: An optical fiber directional coupler housing having a primary protective body substantially formed as a rectangular block with a receiving space therein. A slot in the primary protective body provides the receiving space therein. The coupled portion of the coupler to be housed is positioned in the receiving space. A resilient support material having an index of refraction less than that of the coupled portion extends into the receiving space extending between the coupled portion of the coupler which it also at least partially surrounds and the primary protective body. Plugs are typically provided at the ends of the protective body to secure the optical fibers extending from the coupled portion to the body. A heat shrinkable tubing is used as a jacket which encompasses and extends beyond the primary body.

  • Patent number: 5245400
Abstract: A fiber optic polarization maintaining apparatus for use in fabrication of fused optical couplers, where the fused optical couplers include first and second optical fibers which each have a principle axis. A light launching source is coupled through a lens into a first end of a selected one of the first and second optical fibers. A piezoelectric element in combination with a solenoid applies external stress in the form of an AC modulation signal to the selected one of the first and second optical fibers. A rotating apparatus rotates the selected one of the first and second optical fibers during modulation. Apparatus for collimating light is coupled to a second end of the selected fiber.
