Abstract: A method of conversing data to a format viewable to a viewer is disclosed. The unformatted data comprising a plurality of unformatted data trunks is outputted without formatting. The formatting of the data portions is carried out at the viewing entity side by means of a plurality of the formatters, each of which is specialized in formatting one of more of the data trunks. The formatters are located by the viewer with the help of the tags identifying each of the data portions and are plug-able in the viewer. No formatting to the data is required for outputting or storing the data.

Abstract: An arrangement is provided for dynamic and adaptive selection of vocabulary and acoustic models based on a call context for speech recognition. When a call is received from a caller who is associated with a customer, relevant call information associated with the call is forwarded and used to detect a call context. At least one vocabulary is selected based on the call context. Acoustic models with respect to each selected vocabulary are identified based on the call context. The vocabulary and the acoustic models are then used to recognize the speech content of the call from the caller.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for a group communication protocol system. According to one embodiment of the invention, a logical token ring is imposed on a local area network (LAN) for each group on the LAN. A token, representing permission to send a message, is circulated among the group members. The token causes the messages of each group to be serialized independently of the other groups. According to another embodiment of the invention, the group is a replication group containing a primary entity and one or more replica entities.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for buying, selling, and marketing advertisement. Tagged advertisements are sent, along with tagged content, from a content provider to a content delivery mechanism. Upon receiving the tagged content with tagged advertisements, the content delivery mechanism then sends the tagged content and tagged advertisements to a content user.

Abstract: A method is provided for to packing data. A plurality of attribute specifications is obtained as input. Each of the attribute specifications includes an attribute name and an attribute type. Based on the input attribute specifications, a permutation of the attribute specifications is generated.
