Abstract: A hurricane tie fastener and method are provided for securing a truss to a wall structural member. The fastener includes upper and lower vertical perpendicular plates with respective nail-receiving through holes formed therein. A horizontal arm extends from adjacent the bottom of the upper plate away from the lower plate. A leg extends upwardly from the arm. A truss-receiving space is formed between the upper plate and leg having a top entrance opening for receiving the bottom of the truss when the fastener is moved upwardly relative to the truss. The fastener is self-supporting on the truss to make the nailing of the fastener to the truss and wall member easier and safer.

Abstract: A truss spacer and method of use to set spacing between trusses is detailed. The truss spacer typically includes teeth which grip trusses to secure the truss spacer thereto. The truss spacer may also include a central segment which is spaced downwardly between the trusses so provide a space above the central segment to receive the tips of roofing nails so that the roofing nails do not contact the central segment.

Abstract: A panel clip configured primarily for use in roofing defines lower and upper spaces for respectively receiving therein the edge of a first panel and the edge of a second panel to help maintain the two panels in a coplanar relationship. Specially configured teeth extend into the lower space to inhibit removal of the first panel from the lower space. The clips are typically used midway between the rafters of a roof to provide additional support to the panels.
