  • Publication number: 20210227311
Abstract: Various embodiments provide for an improved ear-worn device for attaching the ear-worn device to an ear of a user using a hooking body. The hooking body may be secured to the user's ear. In some embodiments, a device body may be coupled to the hooking body via a hinge. The device body may be moved (relative to the hooking body) using the hinge to cause the ear-worn device to transition from a closed configuration to an open configuration, and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20200396560
Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering spatial audio in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a spatial audio system, including a primary network connected speaker, including a plurality of sets of drivers, where each set of drivers is oriented in a different direction, a processor system, memory containing an audio player application, wherein the audio player application configures the processor system to obtain an audio source stream from an audio source via the network interface, spatially encode the audio source, decode the spatially encoded audio source to obtain driver inputs for the individual drivers in the plurality of sets of drivers, where the driver inputs cause the drivers to generate directional audio.

  • Patent number: 10088937
Abstract: A method is provided for fabricating a bending beam sensor coupled to a touch input device. The method includes providing a bending beam. The method also includes placing a first strain gauge and a second strain gauge on a surface of the beam near a first end of the beam, and aligning the first strain gauge and the second strain gauge with the beam along an axis. The first end is attached to a base. The method further includes coupling the first strain gauge and the second strain gauge to a plate of the touch input device and electrically connecting the first strain gauge and the second strain gauge such that a differential signal is obtained from the first strain gauge and the second strain gauge when a load is applied on the plate of the touch input device.
    Type: Grant
