  • Patent number: 7788742
Abstract: A cistern outlet valve assembly (10). The assembly includes an outlet orifice (14) and a buoyant member (20). The buoyant member (20) has an outlet seal (22) on one side and a housing seal (26) on the other. The assembly (10) also includes a valve housing (18) is adapted to cover the buoyant member (20). The housing (18) has large clearance guide means (30) adapted to guide movement of the buoyant member (20) from a closed position in which the outlet seal (22) seals against the outlet orifice (14) and an open position in which the housing seal (20) seals against the housing (18). When the buoyant member (20) is in the open position any fluid incident on the guide means (30) is prevented from flowing onto the buoyant member (20) by the housing seal (20) sealing against the housing (18).

  • Patent number: 7263728
Abstract: A dual actuation button assembly (10) for a dual volume flush cistern. The assembly includes dual actuation button members (14, 16) which are both adapted for movement upon actuation in a common actuation direction. A single spring (18) is adapted to apply a force to both of the button members (14, 16) in a direction opposite to the actuation direction. The spring (18) is adapted to maintain some of said force on one (14,16) of the button members during actuating movement of the other of the button members (16, 14).

  • Patent number: 7100218
Abstract: A lifting lever (10) for a cistern flush valve. The lever includes a first end (14) adapted for operative engagement with the cistern flush valve, a second end (18) adapted for operative engagement with a flush actuation button (24) and a pivot mounting (28) between the first (14) and second (18) ends. The second end (18) has first and second engagement regions (32, 34) which are respectively closer and farther to the pivot mounting (28). Initial movement of the button (24) causes it to engage the second engagement region (34) and pivot the lever (10) through a first predetermined range of movement whereafter further movement of the button (24) in the same direction causes it to engage the first engagement region (32) and further pivot the lever (10).
