Abstract: Methods and apparatus provide valet service for parking a car. A request is received to valet park the car of a user. The request is received wirelessly. Agreement to valet park the car is stored. The request or agreement is accompanied by identification information associated with the car. A database is maintained which includes the identification information. The database indicates if the car is valet parked responsive to the request from the user. A further request is received to retrieve the car which has been valet parked wherein the further request corresponds with the identification information associated with the car. Retrieval of the car is authorized responsive to receiving the further request and confirmation of the identification information in the database.
