  • Patent number: 7318334
Abstract: The powered pipe cutter and the pipe flaring tool both have a piston slidably mounted in a cylinder. The cylinder has a top end closed by a top end plug. A crimped cartridge bore in the top end plug communicates with a gas expansion chamber. A bolt and firing pin assembly are attached to the cylinder top end. The pipe cutter includes a shear housing with a pipe passage connected to the rod end of the cylinder. A shear plate is connected to the piston and moves with the piston to shear pipes. The pipe flaring tool includes a pipe clamp assembly with a pipe passage and a female flaring surface connected to the cylinder rod end. A male flaring surface on the piston cooperates with the female flaring surface to flare pipe ends.

  • Patent number: 6751838
Abstract: The pipe coupler tool has a tool body with first and second ends and a tool body central axis. A first primary bore section is coaxial with the central axis and extends into the tool body from the first end. A second primary bore section is coaxial with the central axis and extends into the tool body from the second end. A secondary bore is coaxial with the central axis, extends axially from the first to the second primary sections and has a secondary bore diameter that is larger than the diameter of the first and second primary bore sections. First and second coupler end walls are provided at each end of the secondary bore section. A slot extending the length of the tool has sections with minimum widths that are slightly less than the diameter of the bore sections to which they are connected.

  • Patent number: 6553669
Abstract: The pipe cutter includes a jigsaw with a motor that reciprocates a saw blade back and forth. A way is clamped to the jigsaw. A workpiece holder is slidably mounted on the way. The workpiece holder has a workpiece slot with a base, two side walls and a saw blade slot. A handle is attached to the workpiece holder. A pipe that is to be cut is placed in the workpiece slot and the workpiece holder is moved along the way toward the saw blade. The saw blade forces the pipe toward the base of the workpiece slot and cuts the pipe.

  • Patent number: 6497022
Abstract: The pipe end burnishing tool has a tool shank with an axis of rotation, a first end adapted to be clamped to drill chuck, a second end, and a stop surface on the second end. A cup member is driven by the tool shank and axially moveable along the axis of rotation. An inside member is also driven by the shank and axially movable along the axis of rotation. A cup spring urges the cup toward the stop surface. An inside member spring urges the inside member away from the first end and also urges the cup member toward the first end. Conical burnishing surfaces on the cup and the inside member cooperate to burnish pipe ends. These burnishing surfaces float in line with the ends of pipes.

  • Patent number: 6106370
Abstract: The pipe cleaner attachment includes a housing, a shuttle, and a shuttle guide. The housing has a closed end, an open end, a key and two brush levers and brush pad guide slots. The shuttle guide is a rod clamped in a bore through the closed end of the housing. The end of the rod outside the housing is clamped in a drill chuck for use. The shuttle is slideably mounted in the housing on the shuttle guide and engages the housing key, A pair of brush levers are pivotally mounted in the brush guide slots. A brush pad is attached to an end of each brush lever. Burnishing grooves are provided in the shuttle for burnishing the open ends of pipes with two different diameters. Upon insertion of a pipe into the housing, the pipe end is reamed, the burnishing grooves burnish the pipe end, the shuttle is moved toward the closed end and the brush pads clean the outside surfaces of the pipe.

  • Patent number: 6101696
Abstract: The burnishing tool has a shank that is mountable in a hand drill chuck. An end of the shank is received in a bore in an inside member with a conical inside burnishing surface. A transverse shaft passes through a slot through the inside member and a bore through the spindle to connect the inside member to the shank and to permit limited axial movement between the inside member and the shank. A cup member with an outside conical burnishing surface has a hub that receives a post on the inside member. The transverse shaft that connects the inside member to the shank also passes through a bore through the hub to secure the cup member to the shank. The connections between the shank, the inside member and the cup member permit movement of these members relative to each other to align the conical burnishing surfaces with pipe surfaces. The burnishing tool for two pipe diameters has a shank with a first conical burnishing surface on a shank.

  • Patent number: 6067716
Abstract: The pipe cutter attachment has a way mounted on a portable power saw with a reciprocating saw blade. The way is mounted on the power saw by an attaching assembly that accommodates the power saw that is used. A pipe holder block is slidably supported by the way. A pipe receiving slot with an open end is formed in the pipe holder block. The saw blade is in a saw blade slot in the pipe holder block. During cutting of a pipe the saw blade moves into the pipe receiving slot, engages a pipe to be cut and moves toward the open end of the pipe receiving slot. A resilient member urges the pipe holder block toward a position in which the saw blade is in the pipe holder block and ready to engage and cut a pipe seated in the pipe receiving slot.
