  • Publication number: 20230070650
Abstract: Systems and methods for event threat prioritization are provided. In some embodiments, an event priority engine receives event data detected by event agents executing on devices. The events are prioritized and ranked according to threat scores for events generated according to threat indicators which are fed event data and threat data. In some embodiments, security systems may take the approach of prioritizing events based on the endpoints from which they originate using attributes associated with those endpoints. In this way, events can be prioritized at least in part based on the damage to the enterprise that may occur if those events were to compromise security, not just the likelihood of those events actually resulting in a security breach.

  • Patent number: 10810332
Abstract: A method is provided for simulating communication between a client system and application entity via an application interface, thereby enabling integration testing with a simulation apparatus. Data is transmitted from the simulation apparatus to the application entity via the application interface, and the simulation apparatus records outputs along with contexts and respective latencies. The client system transmits requests to the simulation apparatus which returns simulated responses based on the stored outputs having similar contexts, and with artificial latencies replicating the previously recorded latencies. Other events generated in the application entity may also be recorded and simulated accordingly. Reporting and analytical data may be provided to identify potential performance issues and other errors prior to direct integration of the client system and application interface.

  • Publication number: 20190292015
Abstract: A rope sway detection system of an elevator system includes a magnetic pickup located adjacent to a suspension member of an elevator system. The magnetic pickup is configured to detect a movement of the suspension member via a change in a magnetic field at the magnetic pickup. A signal processing unit is operably connected to the magnetic pickup. The signal processing unit is configured to determine a maximum amplitude of a sway of the suspension member based on the change in the magnetic field, compare the maximum amplitude to a preselected threshold, and signal a change in operation of the elevator system based on an actual or predicted exceedance of the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070175742
Abstract: An electrical rotary switch has a rotor with a periphery, a moving contact on the rotor and several connected parts adjacent the rotor periphery, and four fixed contacts around the rotor for short-circuiting by the moving contact. Each fixed contact has first, second, and third integrally connected sections. The first section bears resiliently against the rotor periphery for sliding contact with the moving contact parts. The second section turns through an angle larger than 135° from the first section. The third section turns through an angle smaller than 90° from the second section for connection of an electrical cable by self-gripping. The moving contact has an undulating profile matching with that of an adjacent part of the rotor periphery.

  • Patent number: 5502306
Abstract: There is disclosed numerous embodiments of a method and apparatus for a particle scanning system and an automatic inspection system. In each of these a particle beam is directed at the surface of a substrate for scanning that substrate. Also included are a selection of detectors to detect at least one of the secondary particles, back-scattered particles and transmitted particles from the substrate. The substrate is mounted on an x-y stage to provide it with at least one degree of freedom while the substrate is being scanned by the/particle beam. The substrate is also subjected to an electric field on it's surface to accelerate the secondary particles. The system also has the capability to accurately measure the position of the substrate with respect to the charged particle beam. Additionally, there is an optical alignment means for initially aligning the substrate beneath the, particle beam means.

  • Patent number: 5433717
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) assisted cryosurgery. Optimal probe placements and cooling parameters are calculated prior to cryosurgery using MRI data. A MRI compatible cryoprobe and a stereotactic probe positioning device are provided. The resolution of MR images is enhanced by mounting a radio frequency MR coil on the intracorporeal end of a cryoprobe. During cryosurgery the temperature distribution in the frozen region is solved by determining the boundary of the frozen region and solving the heat equation for the known boundary conditions. During cryosurgery the temperature distribution in the unfrozen region is determined by T1 measurements. The process of freezing is controled using information from the solution of the energy equation in the frozen region and temperature measurements in the unfrozen region. After cryosurgery the extent of the tissue damage may be ascertained using phosphorus-31 and/or sodium-23 spectroscopy with a special coil set on the cryosurgical probe.
