  • Patent number: 8464224
Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure provide for testing an application, and include loading a testing tool by a client that is in communication with an application server that executes the application, introducing probe code into a routine by a first component of the testing tool, the routine being called during execution of the application, and transmitting a request to the application using a second component of the testing tool. An elapsed time of an execution of the routine is determined based on the probe code, and a response is generated from the application server based on the request. A response time is determined based on the request and the response, and performance statistics are calculated based on the elapsed time and the response time.

  • Patent number: 8442585
Abstract: The present invention enables users of wireless devices to configure a service by automatic connection through the use of a local environmental indication of an identification code such as a barcode. The identification code represents a service that is a labor carried out among a group of two or more devices for the benefit of one or more devices in the group. An indication of an identification code is input to at least one device representing a service over a wireless link among at least a first and second device. At least one service relationship such as sender, receiver, transceiver, or relay is identified for each of a first and second device, and the devices are automatically configured into their respective service relationships utilizing the identification code.

  • Publication number: 20130115647
Abstract: The present invention relates a method to determine the presence of a photon producing biological marker in a cell, tissue or organism of interest. The method is based on Fluorescence by Unbound Excitation from Luminescence (FUEL) and comprises the steps of a) providing conditions suitable for the biological marker to produce at least one first photon by luminescence; b) providing a FUEL probe pair-upper (FPP-U) disposed in proximity to the cell, tissue or organism, wherein the at least one first photon of step a) excites the FPP-U, which emits at least one second photon. The FPP-U may be selected from the group of quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, fluorescent proteins, diamond nanocrystals and metalloporphyrins. This method is charcterized in that said biological marker and said FPP-U are not bound and in that each of the at least one second photon(s) are of a longer wavelength than each of the at least one first photon(s).

  • Patent number: 8433741
Abstract: A system for signature prediction and feature-level fusion of a target according to various aspects of the present invention includes a first sensing modality for providing a measured data set. The system further includes a processor receiving the measured data set and generating a first k-orthogonal spanning tree constructed from k orthogonal minimal spanning trees having no edge shared between the k minimal spanning trees to define a first data manifold. A method for signature prediction and feature-level fusion of a target according to various aspects of the present invention includes generating a first manifold by developing a connected graph of data from a first sensing modality using a first k-orthogonal spanning tree, generating a second manifold by developing a second connected graph of data from a second sensing modality using a second k-orthogonal spanning tree, and aligning the first manifold and the second manifold to generate a joint-signature manifold in a common embedding space.
