  • Publication number: 20250058880
Abstract: An aircraft seat includes a primary seating section including a primary seat pan and seatback. The aircraft seat further includes one or more deployable armrest assemblies, where each armrest assembly is configured to actuate between a stowed and deployed position. Each armrest assembly includes an actuator sub-system including a locking assembly and an actuator. Each armrest assembly further includes an armrest attaching panel. When the armrest assemblies are positioned in the deployed position, the armrest assemblies form an auxiliary seating section, where the armrest attaching panel is configured as an auxiliary seat pan. When the locking assembly is in the unlocked state, the actuator actuates the armrest assemblies to the deployed position. The auxiliary and primary seat pan form a wide seating surface when in the deployed position. A top surface of the auxiliary seat pan is substantially flush with a top surface of the primary seat pan cushion.

  • Patent number: 12049320
Abstract: A swinging seatpan assembly for a passenger seat includes a fixed seatpan frame attached to the seat structure and a mobile seatpan frame pivotably attached to the fixed seatpan frame by rollers configured for translation through slots in the fixed seatpan frame. Passengers occupying middle and aisle seats of a multiple-seat block or assembly may engage their respective swinging seatpan assemblies to allow an occupant of a window seat to enter/egress their seat without the middle-seat and aisle-seat passengers leaving their seats for the aisle. For example, the passenger may engage a release to unlock and push the mobile seatpan frame so that the mobile seatpan frame pivots rearward/downward, temporarily increasing the seat pitch distance and allowing the window-seat passenger increased egress space.

  • Patent number: 11987360
Abstract: A super first-class cabin includes a monitor disposed in the ceiling structure, a controller to render images on the monitor, and cameras to capture real-time streaming environmental images and renders them on the monitor. At the passenger's request, or when the passenger reclines, the controller may render a selection of mood affective images, for example to promote sleep if desired. Such mood affective images may be organized into a schedule associated with phases of flight to gently wake the passenger and prepare them for the end of the flight. The monitor may be employed to reduce the effects of flight-base time-disassociation by varying a daylight color scheme over the course of long flights, simulating a day/night routine to align the time of day at the origin of the flight with the time of day at the destination.
