Publication number: 20200323293Abstract: A hospital gown includes a front and back fabric segment that are attached on one lateral side that also includes a first sleeve. Another lateral side is open along a shoulder and below, allowing the torso and chest of the wearer to be readily accessed. The hospital gown can also be ready draped onto and closed about the wearer. An attachment strap extends from the front fabric segment for passing through one or more openings along the other lateral side to enclose the gown. To reverse which side the gown is opened on, the attachment strap can pass through an opening in the front fabric segment, allowing the gown to be reversed. The back fabric segment presents a smooth fabric substrate to avoid skin irritation.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2020Publication date: October 15, 2020Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Monika Lalani Rathnayake

Patent number: 10744060Abstract: A communication system and method are provided for remotely reproducing a touch pattern or gesture as a vibrotactile output. At a touch screen, a first user device receives a touch pattern by a first user, characterizes the touch pattern as a touch pattern data based upon time and intensity of touch at a plurality of array points of the touch screen, and communicates the touch pattern data to a network. A tactile array patch of micro-vibratory devices is attachable to a garment and worn by a second user. The touch pattern data is wirelessly received from the first user device via the network. Vibration of selected micro-vibratory devices of the tactile array is modulated in timing and intensity in response to the touch pattern data to reproduce the touch pattern.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2019Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Monika Lalani Rathnayake

Publication number: 20170156915Abstract: A surgical restraint device includes an elongate strap member having a widened pad end and an attachment end. An adhesive layer is affixed to one side of the widened pad end that is formed of a hypoallergenic material for selective engagement to skin of a patient. A peel-off layer releasably covering the adhesive layer to selectively expose the adhesive layer before use. At least one aperture formed in the attachment end accepts engagement to a hooking member presented on a surgical patient support structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2016Publication date: June 8, 2017Applicant: Concepto LLCInventor: Sambhu Choudhury

Publication number: 20160296289Abstract: An apparatus and method of fabricating a replacement prosthesis component for implantation into a patient by receiving a diagnostic scan of an implanted prosthesis component in the patient. A controller converts the diagnostic scan into a three-dimensional model of the implanted prosthesis. The controller automatically matches the three-dimensional model with a selected replacement part model that mates with the implanted prosthesis. The controller prepares a three-dimensional printing model of the selected replacement part model to a three-dimensional printer for fabricating a matching replacement part.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2016Publication date: October 13, 2016Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Sean Lynch, Arturo David Sanchez, Andrew Ryan Law

Publication number: 20140303743Abstract: A dual mobility femoral head construct has a secure acetabular shell received within an acetabular recess formed in a pelvis. An implantable prosthetic device is implantable after a failure of an originally installed articular head insert of an acetabular cup assembly. A hemispherical liner is formed from a cast cobalt-chromium alloy for thinness and elasticity. At least three spacers are annularly displaced about an outer diameter of the hemispherical liner to define a uniform cement thickness with the secure acetabular shell. Web shaped depressions are formed circumferentially in the outer diameter of the hemispherical liner to receive cement to resist lever out forces and to secure the cement bond with the secure acetabular shell. A replacement articular head insert is then received for dual mobility rotational movement in an inner diameter of the hemispherical liner. A femoral head implant is received for articulating movement in the articular head insert.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2014Publication date: October 9, 2014Inventors: Sambhu Choudhury, Sean Lynch, Arturo David Sanchez, Andrew Ryan Law
