  • Publication number: 20240351875
Abstract: There is described a reforming unit for hydrogen production and a power generation device incorporating at least the reforming unit for generating electricity. The reforming unit generally has a catalytic burner defining a burner cavity; a reaction assembly within the burner cavity and in thermal communication therewith, the reaction assembly including; a reactor conduit extending annularly around an axis and axially between an input port and an output port, the input port being fluidly coupled to a wet fuel source supplying wet fuel, the reactor conduit having distributed therein a plurality of catalyst elements; and a syngas conduit extending along the axis, within the reactor conduit and in thermal communication therewith, the syngas conduit having an input port fluidly coupled to the output port of the reactor conduit, and an output port; the catalytic burner having a plurality of heating devices surrounding the burner cavity.

  • Publication number: 20170053719
Abstract: A process of producing a catalyst entails providing an alumina substrate and adhering a noble metal consisting of either platinum or palladium to an outer surface of the alumina substrate to form a surface coating without penetrating into a central portion of the substrate. The noble metal may be calcined in a presence of organic compounds that increase the viscosity of a liquid carrying the noble metal to thereby minimize penetration into the central portion of the substrate and that also increase the yield of metal oxides during calcination thereby making the catalyst more active.

  • Patent number: 9365761
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous glycol-free heat transfer fluid comprising sebacic acid, benzotriazole, morpholine, and at least one of sodium nitrite and sodium molybdate dihydrate, wherein a sum of concentrations of sodium molybdate dihydrate, sebacic acid, benzotriazole, morpholine, sodium nitrite is equal to or less than 1% (w/w). Preferably, the sum of concentrations of sodium molybdate dihydrate, sodium nitrite, sebacic acid, benzotriazole and morpholine is less than 0.65% (w/w). Preferably, the respective concentration is: 0-0.134% (w/w) sodium molybdate dihydrate; 0-0.028% (w/w) sebacic acid; 0-0.028% (w/w) benzotriazole; 0.08-0.812% (w/w) morpholine and 0-0.134% (w/w) sodium nitrite.
