  • Patent number: 11856552
Abstract: A device, in a training phase, obtains Channel State Information (CSI) for one or more links between another device and at least one Access Point (AP), and in the training phase, estimates location information of the other device based on at least one geometric localization technique; and generates a database comprising CSI of the one or more links, each CSI being associated with an estimated location information. Further, a device, in a testing phase, obtains a database from another device, wherein the database comprises CSI of one or more links, each CSI being associated with an estimated location information, and in the testing phase, the device estimates CSI for one or more links between the device and at least one AP, and determine location information based on the estimated CSI of the one or more links and the database.

  • Publication number: 20230169858
Abstract: A sensing apparatus for detecting speed bumps or potholes on a road is disclosed. The sensing apparatus comprises a telemetric sensing system configured to collect a plurality of position vectors by telemetric sensing of a road surface, wherein each position vector extends from a common origin to a respective point on the road surface and wherein each position vector has a length and a direction. The sensing apparatus further comprises a processing circuitry configured to detect a road flatness exception by evaluating the lengths of the position vectors. Thus, an improved apparatus for detecting road irregularities such as speed bumps or potholes on a road is provided. The sensing apparatus remains functional in low light conditions, e.g., at night, and also in the presence of reverberation of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220299627
Abstract: A sensing apparatus comprises one or more radar and/or lidar sensors configured to collect a plurality of position including distance and/or direction measurement values for a plurality of objects associated with a traffic scenario in the vicinity of the apparatus. The sensing apparatus further comprises a processing circuitry configured to obtain auxiliary data associated with one or more of the plurality of objects in the vicinity of the apparatus and to assign or map a respective position measurement value of the plurality of position measurement values to a respective object of the plurality of objects in the vicinity of the apparatus on the basis of the auxiliary data.

  • Patent number: 10951354
Abstract: Embodiments relate to an apparatus for adjusting channel quality indicator measurements of a channel between a client device and a serving device within a wireless communication system. The apparatus includes a controller adapted to receive, from the client device, a first information and, when the client device is in a handover zone, a second information. The controller is further adapted to transmit according to a switching sequence either the first information alone or the first information together with the second information. The apparatus also includes an adjustment function entity adapted to receive the first information together with the second information and adapted to adjust the first information based on the second information by modifying it or keeping it unchanged. The first information is related to the CQI measurements, while the second information is related to a handover (HO).

  • Patent number: 8903013
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for sending pulses from a sender device to a receiver device in a transmission channel. The pulses represent information symbols, with each of these pulses being associated with a time slot in a symbol time. The method includes a training step that is carried out before sending payload information and that includes sending a training sequence made up of two parts. A first part of the training sequence includes at least one pulse of energy that is greater than the energy of a pulse carrying payload information. There are a large number of time slots between the sending of the pulse and the sending of the next pulse. A second part of the training sequence includes a set of pulses known in advance and similar to the pulses used for carrying payload information, the energy of each of these pulses being equivalent to the energy of a pulse carrying payload information.
