    Abstract: A method and system are provided where a user can imitate a tap gesture with a fingertip in space without a physical surface to tap on and, if the trajectory of the fingertip is tracked in the course of movement, the tap gesture is performed by a 3D reversal. In a 3D reversal, the trajectory becomes substantially reversed.
