  • Patent number: 10499285
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate estimation of communication parameters. For example, wireless communication systems, such as those associated with the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), Long Term Evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), and the like, may benefit from a maximum cell throughput estimation. A method can include obtaining measurements of a plurality of signal parameters from a plurality of users in an area. The method can also include determining maximum bitrates for each of the users from the signal parameters. The method can further include comparing the maximum bitrates to theoretical bitrates to obtain a ratio. The method can additionally include providing a momentary maximum throughput by scaling a theoretical maximum throughput using the ratio.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 3, 2019
    Assignee: CLOUDSTREET OY
    Inventors: Mika Skarp, Sami Nippula
  • Patent number: 10104675
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a wireless local area network resource, comprising receiving, by a server, an end user request for a resource of a wireless local area network, said request identifying duration and capacity requested by an end user, and providing the requested resource for the end user by the server, wherein a subnetwork within said wireless local area network is provided for the sole use of the end user, said subnetwork providing said requested capacity.
    Type: Grant
