    Abstract: Rotating or pressing one or more handles will rotate one or more cams which push on the lid side. This causes a lever to rotate and forces two opposing jaws to press on the jar. With further rotating or pressing, the cam(s) rotates more and its rough surface or teeth forces the lid to rotate with high torque. Since the cam size is smaller than the lid diameter, much less force is needed to open the lid. And since the jar lid opener grips both the lid and the jar at the same time, there is no need to hold the jar tight while rotating or press the handles.

    Abstract: The present invention is a pencil sharpener or the like such as a makeup pen. It uses two handles similar to a pair of pliers. In one configuration, pressing the two handles advances oblique sharp tip blades which cut through the wood and core of a pencil. The result is that the pencil is sharpened in one press of the handles. The second configuration has even number of blades. With two blades, it requires the handles to be pressed a second time after manually rotating the pencil 90 degrees. With 4 blades, each two opposing blades cut through the pencil in half the pressing interval. With 6 blades, each two opposing blades cut through the pencil in one third the pressing internal, and so on.

The jaw is triggered by blades or pins coming in contact with the stem or branch, or by the fruit itself pushing on the jaw. Simply, the jaw rotates by only pulling on the stick. When a jaw rotates, its non-hinged sharp end presses the stem or branch on an obstacle, hence cutting the stem or branch. When two jaws rotate the stem or branch is cut when the sharp edges of the jaws come together. Another type of jaws has at least one elongated recess, when a stem or branch falls into the elongated recess it will be twisted and broken when the jaw rotates.

    Abstract: The nut cracker of the present invention comprises two rotationally coupled handles pressed by hand or by the palm of the hand. Close to the rotation point and between the two handles, a curved or oblique jaw is coupled to one handle. Farther from the rotation point and between the two handles, a partial cup which accepts various nut sizes is coupled to the other handle. When the two handles are pressed, the jaw moves in the missing portion of the partial cup. The curved or oblique jaw and the partial cup confine the nut and prevent it from popping out, thus breaking the nut.
