  • Publication number: 20220252800
Abstract: A cooling device for cooling a heat generating component, wherein the cooling device comprises a heat sink and at least one heat pipe that is in thermal contact with the heat sink, wherein the at least one heat pipe comprises a thermal contact area that is configured for thermal contact with a heat generating component, and the at least one heat pipe is configured in a shape that provides mechanical spring properties. Such a heat generating component may comprise a pluggable module. Also disclosed is a receptacle assembly comprising a frame having an interior cavity configured for accommodating a heat generating component and having an opening for receiving the heat generating component, characterized in that it comprises a cooling device. Disclosed is also a system comprising a receptacle assembly, and a printed board assembly (PBA) comprising a receptacle assembly.

  • Publication number: 20220240413
Abstract: A cooling unit (1) for cooling a heat-generating component, comprising- at least one inlet (5) for inflow of air (?in) into the cooling unit and at least one outlet (7) for outflow of air (?out) from the cooling unit, an air-moving device (30), and at least one heat sink comprising abase thermally connectable to a heat-generating component and comprising a plurality of cooling fins (54) that project from the base. The cooling unit comprises a first cooling section (51) comprising cooling fins (54) and a second cooling section (52) comprising cooling fins (54), and the first and second cooling sections form a layered configuration in relation to the first base. At least some of the cooling fins project from a first base (53) of a first heat sink (50), which base is thermally connectable to a heat-generating component. The at least one inlet (5) is arranged in one of the first and second cooling sections and the at least one outlet (7) is arranged in the other of the first and second cooling sections.
