Publication number: 20240098818Abstract: A method and device for managing establishment of a communications link between an external instrument (EI) and an implantable medical device (IMD) are provided. The method stores, in a memory in at least one of the IMD or the EI, a base scanning schedule that defines a pattern for scanning windows over a scanning state. The method enters the scanning state during which a receiver scans for advertisement notices during the scanning windows. At least a portion of the scanning windows are grouped in a first segment of the scanning state. The method stores, in the memory, a scan reset pattern for restarting the scanning state. Further, the method automatically restarts the scanning state based on the scan reset pattern to form a pseudo-scanning schedule that differs from the base scanning schedule and establishes a communication session between the IMD and the EI.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Yongjian Wu, Jyoti Bhayana, Chao-Wen Young, Tejpal Singh, Samir Shah

Patent number: 11917262Abstract: A method is performed by a first provider edge (PE) of a redundancy group including provider edges configured with an Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN) segment identifier (EVI) and an Ethernet segment identifier (ESI) and that are multi-homed to a customer edge (CE). The method includes, upon receiving from the CE a join request including a group address for a multicast stream, electing a designated forwarder (DF) for the multicast stream. The electing includes: computing for each PE a respective affinity for the DF as a function of a respective address of the PE, the EVI, and the group address; and determining which PE has a largest affinity. The method further includes, if the first PE has the largest affinity or does not have the largest affinity, configuring the first PE as the designated forwarder or not configuring the first PE as the designated forwarder for the multicast stream, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Ali Sajassi, Samir Thoria, Tapraj Singh, Mankamana Prasad Mishra

Patent number: 11069070Abstract: An autonomous store that tracks shopper movements and actions, and performs store cleaning actions based on analysis of shopper activity. Cleaning actions may include disinfecting the store or regions within the store using radiation, fogging or spraying, or ventilation. Cleaning actions may be targeted; for example, zones where shoppers linger or congregate may be cleaned more frequently or intensively, or shelves or items that shoppers touch may be cleaned after these interactions. Shopper activity information may be used to limit the number of shoppers in a store at once, for example by denying entry when the store is at capacity. The density of shoppers in regions of the store may be communicated to shoppers so that they can limit their interactions with other shoppers. Shopper activity history may be used for contact tracing by identifying other shoppers that may have been exposed to an individual who was in the store.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2020Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: ACCEL ROBOTICS CORPORATIONInventors: Marius Buibas, Michael Brandon Maseda, Martin Alan Cseh, Samir Singh, Matthew Walker

Patent number: 8370229Abstract: The present invention provides an improved billing and contract management method and a computerized enterprise resource management system for processing and management of rent-producing financial products, such as contracts and leases that are past the initial end term date, and that have not been renegotiated or extended, or, in other words, that have entered the “evergreen” period. Among other things, the method and computerized system of the present invention integrate processing of the “evergreen” contracts with a proprietary generalized ERP software product/solution such as Oracle™ E-Business suite's Lease Management system, and supplement the processing of regular contracts with the “evergreen” contract authoring and booking, processing, validation, billing, accounting, collections, modification and audit trailing of the changes made to the “evergreen” contract terms.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2007Date of Patent: February 5, 2013Assignee: Genpact LimitedInventors: Sridhar Moduga, Chandra Anupam, Prashant Gunjikar, Samir Singh, Uday Kumar

Publication number: 20050149538Abstract: A searchable electronic database system that can return search results independent of reference source type. The electronic database system includes information that can be content or discipline specific. The database can be focused to allow research to be limited to the discipline specific universe of information. The database can include person, organization, publication, and other entity types. The publications can include journal articles, books, dissertations, grants, clinical trials, and web resources. The database can also include ontology and lexicon entities. The entities are interconnected through relationships. Searches performed on the database return results across all entity types. A single search can return results from each of the different publication types. Details of the results can be displayed. Dynamic links to one or more fields in a particular result detail can link to a result categorized according to the field.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2004Publication date: July 7, 2005Inventors: Sadanand Singh, Richard Belew, Brian Bartell, Marie Linvill, Samir Singh, James Rhodes
