  • Patent number: 8398424
Abstract: A device includes an elongated strap, a latch structure connected to the strap and configured to receive and secure a portion of the strap within the latch structure when an end of the strap is inserted through an opening of the latch, and a clamping structure secured to the strap. The clamping structure includes a flexible ring member with two free ends that are separable from each other to define a gap between the two free ends and are further configured to be drawn toward each other such that one free end overlaps the other free end, and a locking mechanism that is operable by a user to selectively compress the ring member so as to secure a portion of at least one power cord within the ring member.

  • Patent number: 7433193
Abstract: An improved rail includes two side portions, and a mid portion interconnected between the two side portions. The mid portion and the two side portions form a component that defines three sides of a transceiver module space. The rail further includes a blocking structure coupled to the component. The blocking structure is adapted to (i) permit a connecting portion of a transceiver module to connect with a connector when the transceiver module engages the rail and moves into the transceiver module space toward the connector and when a circuit board side of the transceiver module faces the printed circuit board, and (ii) prevent the transceiver module from contacting the connector when the transceiver module engages the rail and moves into the transceiver module space toward the connector and when a heat dissipation side of the transceiver module faces the printed circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7136289
Abstract: A system for providing dual 10 GB uplinks in the front side of a single rack unit switch that stacks two MSA X2 I/O devices in a limited space. In one embodiment the two X2 I/O devices are mounted on opposite sides of a single circuit board positioned above the motherboard.

  • Patent number: 6777619
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing configured to house an interconnect mechanism, which defines an on-axis plane that is coplanar with the long axis of the interconnect mechanism. The housing includes at least two receptacles for accepting coupling mechanisms for interconnecting the connector to an electronic component. The centerline axis of at least one of the receptacles is parallel to the on-axis plane and offset from the on-axis plane. In one embodiment, the housing further comprises a first lip having a long axis that is parallel with the on-axis plane, such that when the connector is interconnected to an electronic component, the first lip applies an off-axis force to the component. The off-axis force is applied to the component along a first off-axis that is different than the on-axis. Consequently, resistance to deflection of the connector is provided, as is a more reliable contact engagement between the connector and the interconnected electronic component.
