  • Patent number: 11259186
Abstract: A device determines information concerning the device and sends the information concerning the device to a first device. The device receives, from the first device, information concerning a user device, and receives, from a second device, a request concerning the user device accessing the device. The request includes information identifying the device and information identifying the user device. The device generates a request response by validating the user device for access to the device based on the request and sends, to the second device, the request response to facilitate a communication session to be established between the user device and the device. The device communicates with the user device via the communication session.

  • Patent number: 11259223
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for the selective connection of a User Equipment (“UE”), that is camped on a Fifth Generation (“5G”) network during a Voice over WiFi (“VoWiFi”) call, to another network (e.g., a Long-Term Evolution (“LTE”) network). In this manner, if the WiFi connection is dropped, the UE may resume the call via the LTE network rather than first handing over to the 5G network.

  • Publication number: 20210297919
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may establish a wireless connection with a WiFi network, and may perform a measurement associated with a fifth generation (5G) ultra-wideband radio access network. The UE may determine whether the measurement satisfies a signal strength threshold, and may selectively perform a first action or a second action based on whether the measurement satisfies the signal strength threshold. The first action may include providing an indication of an availability of the 5G ultra-wideband radio access network, for display, when the measurement satisfies the signal strength threshold. The second action may include maintaining the wireless connection when the measurement fails to satisfy the signal strength threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210099499
Abstract: A network device receives an indication to establish a session for an internet protocol (IP) service between a first device and a second device, wherein the network device is part of a local network with the first device and another network device. The network device identifies a service tag to include in a service tag field of a session request. The other network device causes the session request that includes an updated service tag to be provided to the second device. The second device provides a session response with the service tag to the other network device, the other network device updates the session response to include the original service tag and provides an updated session response to the network device. The network device causes the session to be established.
