  • Publication number: 20210158964
Abstract: A systems is provided herein to evaluate health of a patient. The system includes one or more testing modules configured to receive examination data related to at least one of gripping power, vision health, or hearing strength of a user; one or more pumps configured to provide fluid to or receive fluid from the user's body and analyze the fluid to determine one or more contents included in the fluid; a data processor unit configured to analyze the received examination data to determine whether the user is at risk of a health problem, and a communication unit capable of communicating information to a computing system. In response to determining that the user is at risk of the health problem, the data processor requests the communication unit to notify a health care provider about the risk. Corresponding methods and non-transitory computer readable medium are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210038799
Abstract: A tubing connection system is disclosed by which patients or others seeking to make connections between tubing sets, particularly for a home dialysis machine, can make those connections without having to hold each tube in each hand. In various implementations, the tubing connection device may include mechanisms for rectilinear and rotational motion to engage tubing connectors for connection between the tubing connectors as well as torque control features to prevent over-tightening. The system may also include automatically controlled gripping mechanisms to facilitate gripping of the tubing in connection with tubing connection operations. The system provides for facilitating a consistently secure connection of the tubing connectors.

  • Publication number: 20200405934
Abstract: A dialysis system is described having components for facilitating a health-enhanced environment in the vicinity of a dialysis machine in the home. The health-enhancing components may include air improvement components and potable water supply components integrated and/or otherwise incorporated into the home dialysis machine. By incorporating the ability for monitoring, cleaning, and controlling air and/or water quality into the home dialysis machine, the dialysis machine is no longer just a source of life for the dialysis patient but also a source of health enhancement for the entire household. The system may further display and/or remotely communicate information concerning the dialysis treatment, the air quality and the potable water quality corresponding to operation of the dialysis machine in the home environment.
