    Abstract: An oven module for use in controlling the temperature of a component of an analytical instrument. The oven module has an enclosure to accommodate the component and a heating element. The enclosure has a fluid intake and a fluid outlet. A variable speed fan, mounted within the enclosure, is operable to circulate fluid within the enclosure and to draw cooling fluid through the fluid intake into the enclosure. The variable speed fan is operated at an increased speed when cooling of the oven is required.
