    Abstract: The present invention relates to catalysts for dehydrogenation of paraffin hydrocarbons to olefins in a medium of hydrogen and to a method of preparing said catalyst. The catalyst according to the present invention comprises a carrier, viz. active alumina, having deposited thereon platinum in an amount of from 0.2 to 1.0% by weight, an alkali metal in an amount of from 0.2 to 2.0% by weight and at least one of the three elements, i.e. gallium, indium and thallium in a total amount of from 0.2 to 1.0% by weight.
