Publication number: 20240072830Abstract: An integrated signal chain includes a waveguide network defined by first and second waveguide layers forming a waveguide stack. A first transmit waveguide channel (WGC) is configured to communicate first transmit electromagnetic signals from a first transmit port to an antenna feed port, and a first receive WGC is configured to communicate first receive electromagnetic signals from the antenna feed port to a first receive port. A transmit module is attached to an exterior side of the first waveguide layer, and the first transmit WGC couples the transmit module to the antenna. A receive module is attached to the exterior side of the first waveguide layer, and the first receive WGC couples the antenna to the receive module. A modem may be included. A thermal management assembly can be configured to dissipate heat from the modem, the receive module, and/or the transmit module.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Anders Jensen, Samuel T. Patent number: 10398784Abstract: Polyvalent nanoconjugates address the critical challenges in therapeutic use. The single-entity, targeted therapeutic is able to cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and is thus effective in the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Further, despite the tremendously high cellular uptake of nanoconjugates, they exhibit no toxicity in the cell types tested thus far. This property is critical for therapeutic agent delivery applications for reducing off-target effects.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2017Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: NORTHWESTERN UNIVERITYInventors: Chad A. Mirkin, Caroline H. Ko, David A. Giljohann, Janina Luciano, Samuel A. Jensen, Alexander Stegh

Patent number: 8908971Abstract: Methods, devices and systems are described for transcribing text from artifacts to electronic files. A computer system is provided, wherein the computer system comprises a computer-readable storage device. An image of the artifact is received wherein text is present on the artifact. A first portion of the text is analyzed. Characters representing the first portion of the text are identified at a first confidence level equal to or greater than a threshold confidence level. The characters representing the first portion of the text are stored. A second portion of the text appearing on the artifact is analyzed. A plurality of candidates to represent the second portion of the text are identified at a second confidence level below the threshold confidence level. Finally, the plurality of candidates to a user for selection are presented.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2013Date of Patent: December 9, 2014Assignee: Ancestry.com Operations Inc.Inventor: Lee Samuel Jensen

Patent number: 8600980Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for consolidating information retrieval results. According to some embodiments of the invention, a computer system can be used to create a result set in response to a query. Results in the result set can then be compared with each other to determine whether they contain information regarding a single object or entity, in which case the records are consolidated and redundant data is removed. The computer system can then present the consolidated result on a display.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2012Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Ancestry.com Operations Inc.Inventor: Lee Samuel Jensen

Patent number: 8140512Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for consolidating information retrieval results. According to some embodiments of the invention, a computer system can be used to retrieve and rank results in a first result set, in response to a query. The computer system can then perform a more in-depth comparison of the results with the query to determine a more complete correlation of the data in a result with the terms in the query. Each result can then be scored according to its correlation with the search query, and results that do not meet minimum threshold score can be dropped, the remaining results comprising a second result set. Results in the second result set can then be compared with each other to determine whether they contain information regarding a single object or entity, in which case the records are consolidated and redundant data is removed. The computer system can then present the consolidated result on a display.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2010Date of Patent: March 20, 2012Assignee: Ancestry.Com Operations Inc.Inventor: Lee Samuel Jensen

Publication number: 20110099193Abstract: Systems, methods, and techniques are described for correcting pedigree information. A new pedigree record of a person may be received at a computer system. A stored pedigree record of a person may be selected if it is determined that the second person is likely to be the first person at some confidence level at or above a threshold confidence level. A comparison of data elements of the new pedigree record with data elements of the stored pedigree record may be conducted. A first data element of the new pedigree and a second data element of the stored pedigree that are not equivalent may be identified. An analysis as to which data element is more likely to be correct may be conducted. The incorrect data element may then be corrected with the correct data element.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2010Publication date: April 28, 2011Applicant: Ancestry.com Operations Inc.Inventor: Lee Samuel Jensen
