Publication number: 20210341700Abstract: The present disclosure incudes a fiber optic cable having a conduit including a conduit wall defining a conduit passage that extends longitudinally through the conduit. The conduit also includes an adhesive injection port defined through the conduit wall and at least one optical fiber within the conduit passage. The cable further includes a fiber lock including an adhesive volume in communication with the adhesive injection port. The adhesive volume includes a main adhesive volume positioned within the conduit passage and bonded to the optical fiber. The main adhesive volume is fixed to prevent longitudinal movement relative to the conduit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2021Publication date: November 4, 2021Applicant: COMMSCOPE TECHNOLOGIES LLCInventors: Gregory Robert MOSIER, Scott L. CARLSON, Yu LU, Ryan KOSTECKA, Samuel Taylor FINNEGAN, Joseph Michael MARRAZZO

Patent number: 11100195Abstract: The disclosure is related to a data management platform (“platform”) for providing a secure storage environment for digital contents associated with a user. The platform may be accessible via an app installed on a user device, which allows the user to upload, modify, and view digital contents. Because a digital content is mapped to a universal scaffold in a structured format, the platform can organize and display the digital contents in meaningful ways. The digital contents can be hosted on a remote server. The platform provides zero-knowledge encryption so that the digital contents stored at the server are secure, as in one cannot know the contents of the encrypted information stored at the server. The platform also facilitates zero-knowledge offers in which offers are sent to multiple users but the server does not know to which users the offers are presented until an offer is accepted by the user.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2018Date of Patent: August 24, 2021Assignee: THINKSPAN, LLCInventors: Brian Samuel Taylor, Matthew Maxwell Murphy, James Michael Faris

Publication number: 20210117430Abstract: The disclosure is related to a method to securely present a suggestion to a user without disclosing the user's information to a server. The user device can receive from the server a data structure configured to represent the user's information. The user device, after obtaining the user's information from a document, can populate the received data structure with the user's information extracted from the document. The use device can receive from the server a suggestion detection module including a criterion and an executable computer code. The executable computer code can determine whether to present the suggestion at the user device by determining whether the populated user's information satisfies the criterion. Upon determining that the populated user's information satisfies the criterion, the executable computer code can present the suggestion at the user device, without disclosing to the server the user's information.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2020Publication date: April 22, 2021Inventors: Brian Samuel Taylor, Matthew Maxwell Murphy, James Michael Faris

Publication number: 20210117450Abstract: Disclosed is a system to provide an answer to a query generated by a device while hiding the answer and the query from a server providing the answer. Data structures, created at the server, contain information such as information about restaurants, mechanics, medical conditions, etc. The server creates bundles including two or more data structures containing disparate information, and a unique identifier for each bundle. The server creates a table of contents indicating the unique identifier of a bundle and the information contained in the bundle and sends the table of contents to the device. The server provides the answer to the query from the device by receiving the unique identifier of the bundle and providing the bundle having the unique identifier to the device. While the bundle contains the answer to the query, the server does not know the query or the answer because the bundle contains disparate information.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2020Publication date: April 22, 2021Inventors: Brian Samuel Taylor, Matthew Maxwell Murphy, James Michael Faris

Publication number: 20190328098Abstract: Disclosed is a bag or purse for containing valuables. The bag or purse includes a rigid endoskeleton, an exterior covering disposed over the rigid endoskeleton, a lock assembly coupled to the endoskeleton, a biometric sensor and a microcontroller. The lock assembly prevents access to the interior space when the lock assembly is in a locked state. The lock assembly includes a handle and an actuator. The actuator is arranged within the lock assembly to selectively allow the lock assembly to unlock from a locked state. The microcontroller is programmed to determine whether an input provided to the biometric sensor corresponds with an authorized user and, if affirmative, activate the actuator to allow the lock assembly to achieve the unlocked state, and if negative, to not allow the lock assembly to achieve the unlocked state. A quick release cross body shoulder strap and GPS tracking feature can also be provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2018Publication date: October 31, 2019Inventors: Joan DAO, Laura ZIEGELSKI, Kristine JOHNSON, Julie WEBER, Alex LAVALLEY, Abigail MEYER, Shannon MOSKOWITZ, Samuel Taylor FINNEGAN

Publication number: 20180272559Abstract: A modular press suitable for use in the manufacture of EWC products may include a plurality of frame modules coupled together and aligned along a feed path axis. Each frame module may have a generally planar body supported on a corresponding pair of bases, an elongate aperture, an upper and a lower platform within the aperture, and a platen between the platforms. Optionally, the ends of the aperture may be curved. A first actuator system may be operable to move the platen from a raised position to an intermediate position, and a second actuator system may be operable to press the platen downwardly from the intermediate position onto a workpiece within the aperture. Some modular presses may include conveyor rolls and a third actuator system to raise and lower the conveyor rolls. In some embodiments, the actuator systems may be pneumatic actuator systems. Corresponding methods and systems are also described herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2018Publication date: September 27, 2018Inventors: Samuel Taylor Pope, Laura Hart Meeker, Conrad Bullion, Kevin K. Patent number: 9122865Abstract: A system and method for authentication of a user using “lightweight” identities. The system and method provides for establishment of user credentials for a particular electronic mail address by an identity server through the recordation of a mail token and private token after receiving a request for credentials from the user. The identity server sends a private token to the user and sends a verification message to the user containing a specific link to the identity server for verification of the user along with the mail token, and then can verify the user by confirming that a mail token and private token recorded by the identity server match a mail token and a private token received from the user. After the verification process is successful, the identity server issues credentials that consist of a certificate either with or without a private key to the user which serves as an authenticated, unique, lightweight identity that a user can assume to access various services.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2013Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: AUTHENTICADE LLCInventors: Chris Yi-Cheng Ho, Samuel Taylor Zelnick
