Abstract: Various embodiments of layout tool devices and systems are provided. In various embodiments, the layout tool devices and systems improve layout work flow using layout tools, such as via using lasers and/or customized flexible elongate structures to facilitate marking points along a line, including systems with multiple devices, such as mobile devices, that emit lasers in combination with the other devices in the system.

Abstract: A charging module removably receives and recharges a plurality of battery packs for use with power tools. The charging module includes a housing that has a plurality of charging bays spaced about the housing. Each of the charging bays removably receives a battery pack. A light is coupled to the housing and illuminates a space surrounding the charging module. The light illuminates a space above or below and surrounding the charging module.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing notifications regarding battery pack charging status. One charging system includes a battery charger and an external device. The battery charger includes a housing, a battery pack interface, a wireless communication controller, and a charger controller. The charger controller receives status information associated with power tool battery packs and transmits the status information to an external device. The external device includes a display and an external device controller. The external device controller receives the status information from the charger controller and controls the display to display the status information via a user interface.

Abstract: In one aspect, a protective headwear is provided and includes a headgear, an outer shell rotatably coupled to the headgear, and a first shield coupled to the outer shell and rotatable between a first position and a second position. The first shield is selectively removable from the outer shell without the use of tools. The protective headwear also includes a second shield coupled to the outer shell. The first shield covers the second shield to a greater extent in the first position than in the second position. In one aspect, a method of manufacturing a protective headwear is provided.
