A table matches each one of a plurality of transaction risk levels to a corresponding one of a plurality of required user trust scores, correspondingly. A financial transaction risk level associated with a financial transaction is computed. A user trust score associated with the user is computed based on user identification data associated with the user. The financial transaction risk level is matched to a corresponding one of the plurality of transaction risk levels stored in the table. The one of the plurality of required trust scores that corresponds to the corresponding one of the plurality of transaction risk levels stored in the table is identified. If the user trust score is greater than or equal to the identified one of the plurality of required trust scores, then the financial transaction is authorized.

Abstract: A secure mobile financial transaction is provided by receiving, over a communication network, a list of protection mechanisms available for implementation by an external terminal. Security-related data is received from one or more sensors and an attack signature is computed based on the security-related data. An appropriate security policy is selected from multiple security policies stored in a database based on the list of protection mechanisms and the attack signature. A secure communication session is established between the external terminal and an internal network component according to the selected security policy. A data message associated with a mobile financial transaction is communicated over the communication network during the communication session.

A method may: determine that a low flow is present, if absolute values of temperature differences between ambient and pipe temperatures of respective samples of a first monitoring period are above a difference threshold; and perform a high flow test by estimating a temperature profile of water entering the pipe, based on identifying at least one temperature difference maximum of a second monitoring period, wherein each said difference maxima is a maximum temperature difference between ambient and pipe temperatures of a received sample, and determining that a high flow is present by detecting, based on the received pipe temperatures of the second monitoring period, if the pipe temperature is approaching the estimated water temperature profile.

Abstract: Systems and methods for machining openings of a component are provided. In one exemplary aspect, a laser system includes features for machining an opening into a component, such as a cooling hole for a CMC component of a gas turbine engine. The component can be oriented in a first position and lasered while oriented in the first position to form a portion of the opening. The component is then oriented to a second position and lasered while oriented in the second position to form another portion of the opening. The component is alternated between the first and second positions until the predetermined geometry of the opening is formed. The component is oriented in the first and second positions such that the laser beam can machine the component without clipping areas that are not desired to be machined.
