  • Publication number: 20230133248
Abstract: A method includes obtaining sensor measurements of vehicles to generate vehicle records associated with the vehicles and obtaining a set of vehicle utilization parameters comprising a transportation weight parameter and a navigation path. The method also includes, for each available vehicle of the vehicles, determining vehicle degradation values for the available vehicle based on the set of vehicle utilization parameters, the vehicle record associated with a vehicle category of the available vehicle, and the odometer measurement of the available vehicle. The method also includes selecting a first vehicle over one or more other vehicles of the vehicles based on the vehicle degradation value for the first vehicle and, in response to the selection of the first vehicle, wirelessly providing a destination of the navigation path to an application of the first vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8007638
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a cellulosic sheet having at least one of hydrophobic and oleophobic properties comprises the steps of depositing a stock of cellulosic fibers onto at least one forming fabric at an impingement zone and forming a web therefrom in a formation process; combining a water-based composition comprising an adhesion promoter, an organic nanoparticulate polymer and a fluorocarbon with the web at a preselected combination stage prior to a heating stage at which the web is subjected to a temperature exceeding 60° C.; and heat-curing the composition with the web during a drying process. A water-based composition for imparting at least one of hydrophobic and oleophobic properties to a cellulosic sheet during manufacture comprises an adhesion promoter, an organic nanoparticulate polymer and a fluorocarbon. A cellulosic sheet or layer thereof has at least one of hydrophobic and oleophobic properties. Improved resistance of cellulosic sheets to oil or water is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20080082432
Abstract: A communication link is established between a first processor and a receiving processor located at a central data repository. Tax return information in electronic form are then downloaded to the central data repository. The electronic tax information is then converted into a new standard electronic document having a standard format. The new standard electronic document is then sent into a first database where it is sorted and stored with the other standard electronic documents. A first copy of the standard electronic document is then sent through a filtering process in which all the data fields containing identifiable data such as names, social security codes, identification numbers, and street address are removed creating an electronic data mining document. The electronic data mining document is then sent to a second database where the data mining document is sorted and stored with other electronic data mining documents.

  • Publication number: 20060218081
Abstract: A heuristic method and system for document management are disclosed. A document management system may specify transaction constraints for various transaction types. The system may then receive a document containing information pertaining to a transaction. The information may be stored and transaction requirements based on a transaction constraint and the stored information may be determined. A representation of the transaction requirement may be presented to a transaction participant. Further, the system may send a notification to the transaction participant based on the transaction requirement. A document management system may include a document repository having an intelligent folder that can store a document, a constraint solver for determining document requirements, a graphical user interface, and a notification system.

  • Publication number: 20060204657
Abstract: A papermaking fabric is treated by applying a nanoparticle type coating to improve their resistance to contamination by foreign matter in the papermaking system. The coating is applied during fabric manufacture and cured during heat setting. Alternatively, the coating applied or renewed by utilizing an existing shower or locating a spray boom or other suitable coating application device in the dryer section to apply the coating to the fabric in a controlled, uniform manner. Prior to application of the coating, the fabric is first thoroughly cleaned such as by showering or spraying, and then dried. Following controlled application of the coating, any excess material is removed by a suitable means, such as by vacuum, and the remaining coating on the fabric is then cured, either by utilizing the ambient heat of the dryer section or by a portable bank of heaters. In this manner, the fabric does not have to be removed from the machine in order to apply or renew the contaminant resistant coating.

  • Patent number: 5597450
Abstract: A paper machine dryer fabric includes hollow thermoplastic monofilaments to replace at least a portion of the wefts, also known as cross-machine direction strands. Fabrics including such monofilaments may be either a woven fabric, or a spiral fabric. The deformable nature of the hollow monofilaments decreaes the air permeability of the fabric, and in the case of spiral fabrics, improves monofilaments retention within the helical coils between the hinge yarns. The hollow monofilaments have a solidity in the range of from about 60% to about 75%. A suitable thermoplastic is polyethylene terephthalate. Hollow monofilaments do not have the disadvantages of other deformable yarns, such as spun yarns, multifilament yarns or plied monofilament yarns, each of which tend to hold and entrap within their structure both water and foreign matter.
