  • Publication number: 20090309461
Abstract: A starter/generator mechanically coupled to a gas turbine transmission housing comprises a generator (10) with a rotor forming a field winding and a stator forming an armature, and an energizer (20) with a stator forming a field winding and a rotor forming an armature linked to the field winding of the generator. The rotor (12) of the generator and the rotor (22) of the energizer are mounted on a common shaft (54) together with a gear (86) of the transmission housing, one on each side of this gear.

  • Patent number: 7011599
Abstract: A speed reduction gear train comprising a sun gear, an annular gear, and planet gears meshing with the sun gear and the annular gear and mounted in a cage having axial housings between pairs of adjacent planet gears. The cage is connected to a cage carrier having axial arms received in the housings by radial pins disposed in the midplane of the cage by means of spherical finger connections allowing the cage carrier to tilt and to move axially relative to the cage.

  • Publication number: 20050047949
Abstract: A high-performance plain bearing provided with a friction coating including a bronze layer whereof the pores are filled with a PTFE-type fluoroplastic paste filled with molybdenum bisulphide. The production method includes sintering a layer of bronze powder on the metal support of the bearing, a vacuum ionic cleaning, applying a filled fluoroplastic film, passing the component through a die and after sintering the paste, a final pass in the die for final dimensioning. During sintering and passing through the die an anti-adhesive and wear-resistant coating, based on titanium nitride or the like, is applied on the equipment.

  • Publication number: 20040192491
Abstract: A satellite (3) is supported on its shaft (1) through a large number of distributed bearings, particularly roller bearings (6) and the arrangement keeps a good force distribution capability due to similar stiffnesses of parts of the shaft (1) and a bushing (7) which forms the inner part of the satellite (3), facing each other along the length of the hole.
