  • Patent number: 12241602
Abstract: A lighting system having a plurality of linking sections to form an articulated channel is described. Each linking section includes a first side wall, a second side wall, and a base wall positioned between the first side wall and second side wall to form a U-shape. A first end of each first side wall and each second side wall pivotably connects to the second end of a first side wall and second side wall, respectively, of an adjacent linking section to align the U-shape and form a channel. An LED strip positioned along the base wall within the channel of the plurality of linking sections provides a light source. A flexible diffuser is positioned within the channel above the LED strip.

  • Patent number: 12240206
Abstract: Methods are provided for fabricating electrochromic devices that mitigate formation of short circuits under a top bus bar without predetermining where top bus bars will be applied on the device. Devices fabricated using such methods may be deactivated under the top bus bar, or may include active material under the top bus bar. Methods of fabricating devices with active material under a top bus bar include depositing a modified top bus bar, fabricating self-healing layers in the electrochromic device, and modifying a top transparent conductive layer of the device prior to applying bus bars.

  • Patent number: 12241085
Abstract: Described herein is a microphysiological system for models of disease. Specifically, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and iPSC-derived cells, including those obtained from disease patients, are seeded onto microfluidic “chip” devices to study cellular development and disease pathogenesis. Herein, neurodegenerative disease modeling, including Parkinson's Disease (PD) is shown to reproduce key PD pathology in a vascularized human model that contains neurons relating to PD pathology. Such compositions and methods are used for research for PD biomarkers, patient screening for PD risk assessment, and therapeutic discovery and testing. A panel of biomarkers are generated through analysis of living PD-chips by neural activity, whole transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic analysis, and functional enzyme tests of media and tissue.

  • Patent number: 12240422
Abstract: A linear jack includes a coarse nut threadedly coupled to a first rotating screw and a first sleeve movable with respect to the coarse nut (the first rotating screw, the first sleeve, and the coarse nut collectively a high-speed assembly), and a second sleeve threadedly coupled to a second rotating screw (the second sleeve and the second rotating screw collectively a low-speed assembly). The coarse nut is movable to a first position where the coarse nut is held from rotating with the first rotating screw—e.g., via a dog clutch—to convert rotational motion of the first rotating screw into translating motion of the coarse nut and the first sleeve. The coarse nut is movable to a second position where the coarse nut is free to rotate together with the second rotating screw and the first rotating screw with respect to the first sleeve.

  • Patent number: 12241366
Abstract: Drilling parameters for a wellbore operation can be determined based on resonance speeds. For example, a system can receive real-time data for a drilling operation that is concurrently occurring with receiving the real-time data. The system can determine, for a drilling depth, a rotations-per-minute (RPM) value corresponding to a resonance speed based on a weight-on-bit (WOB) value and the real-time data. The system can generate a plot of the WOB value and the RPM value corresponding to the resonance speed. The system can determine drilling parameters for the drilling operation based on the plot. The drilling parameters can exclude, for the WOB value, the RPM value corresponding to the resonance speed.
