  • Publication number: 20220296015
Abstract: A dual valve bottle lid assembly includes a bottle lid; a tube coupling and a duckbill valve mounted within the bottle lid; an upper hydration tube; a mouth-activated valve; and a lower hydration tube. The tube coupling has an upper hydration tube connector and a lower hydration tube connector extending in opposite directions. A first end of the upper hydration tube is attached to the upper hydration tube connector and the lower hydration tube is attached to the lower hydration tube connector. The mouth-activated valve is attached to a second end of the upper hydration tube. The dual valve bottle bottle lid converts bottles for one handed consumption while avoiding leakage.

  • Publication number: 20070137106
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a component, a fuel reformer, and a reformer modulator. The fuel reformer is fluidly coupled to the component to supply reformate gas thereto and has a variable operating frequency. The reformer modulator is configured to modulate the operating frequency of the fuel reformer so as to promote maintenance of an operating parameter associated with the component at a predetermined setpoint. An associated method is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070101648
Abstract: A fuel reforming apparatus for reforming a fuel comprises a combustion device and a catalyst. The combustion device is configured to oxidize a portion of the fuel into H2O. The catalyst is configured to catalyze an endothermic reaction between the H2O and another portion of the fuel so as to produce a reformate gas. An associated method is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070095053
Abstract: An apparatus comprises an emissions trap and a trap regenerator fluidly coupled to the emissions trap to advance a regenerative agent thereto to regenerate the emissions trap. The trap regenerator is configured to change a concentration of the regenerative agent advanced to the emissions trap from a first trap-regenerating level to a second trap-regenerating level different from the first trap-regenerating level. An associated method is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050150215
Abstract: A method of operating an emission abatement assembly to remove soot from the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine includes determining if the engine is operating with predetermined operating conditions and regenerating a particulate filter if the engine is within such conditions. An emission abatement assembly is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050150219
Abstract: A method of operating an emission abatement assembly includes determining the temperature of the heat generated by a fuel-fired burner during regeneration of a particulate filter and adjusting the amount of fuel supplied to the fuel-fired burner based thereon. An emission abatement assembly is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6899059
Abstract: A catnip-filled toy (10) which may be caused to roll, spin, rock, wobble, and slide when manipulated by the paw of a cat. The device (10) has a convex hub (12). Extending axially from the hub (I 2) are two hollow reservoirs (14) that may be filled with catnip (24). The convex hub (12) and catnip reservoirs (14) are circular in shape when seen in side elevation from an end view, so as to allow the device (10) to roll freely upon any smooth surface (30). The hub is larger in circumference than the reservoirs for continuous rolling of the toy on the hub. In the preferred embodiment of the device (10), the reservoirs (14) are elongated axially beyond a hemispherical shape. The catnip reservoirs (14) have openings (20) through which the catnip (24) may be filled, emptied, and refilled and have a plurality of small holes (22) through which the scent of the catnip (24) inside may emanate outside. The holes (22) are small enough to substantially contain finely cut catnip (24).

  • Publication number: 20050086865
Abstract: A method of operating a fuel reformer includes advancing a first air/fuel mixture having a first air-to-fuel ratio into the fuel reformer. The method also includes entrapping soot generated by the fuel reformer in a soot trap. The method further includes determining if a soot purge of the soot trap is to be performed and generating a purge-soot signal in response thereto. Further, a second air/fuel mixture having a second air-to-fuel ratio is advanced into the fuel reformer in response to generation of the purge-soot signal. The second air-to-fuel ratio is greater than the first air-to-fuel ratio in order to burn soot present in the soot trap. A fuel reformer system is also disclosed.
