  • Patent number: 4234496
Abstract: Compounds comprising three atoms of a divalent metal linked through oxygen atoms to an atom selected from the group consisting of a boron atom, a phosphorus atom and a phosphorus atom bonded to an oxo oxygen, and an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid radical attached to each divalent metal atom, at least one of said aliphatic monocarboxylic acid radicals having from 7 to 9 carbon atoms, and at least one other of said aliphatic monocarboxylic acid radicals having 10 or 11 carbon atoms, and the polymerization products thereof, are useful as rubber compound adhesion promoters and are more easily handled than the previously known compounds and polymers used for this purpose.
