  • Patent number: 11549354
Abstract: In some examples, a method performed by a drilling rig control center, includes receiving raw data for a first time segment, the raw data related to a drilling operation. In addition, the method includes deriving first drilling state measurements based on the raw data of the first time segment. Further, the method includes deriving first formation state measurements based on the raw data of the first time segment. The method also includes correlating the first derived drilling and formation state measurements of the first time segment with a second derived drilling and formation state measurements of a second time segment. Still further, the method includes generating a control response based on the correlation.

  • Publication number: 20220291108
Abstract: A system for monitoring fluid properties in real-time, where the system includes a flow loop having a fluid inlet and fluid outlet. In some embodiments, the flow loop includes a plurality of pipe sections forming the flow loop, where each of pipe section of the plurality of pipe sections are in fluid communication with each other and sensors fluidly coupled to each of the pipe sections perpendicular to fluid flow within each of the pipe sections. In some embodiments, each of the pipe sections has varying inner diameters. In some embodiments, the sensors measure fluid at different velocities corresponding to the varying inner diameters of each of the pipe sections.

  • Publication number: 20210072131
Abstract: A method includes obtaining a density of a fluid and obtaining a Marsh funnel time associated with the fluid. The density of the fluid and the Marsh funnel time is provided to a processor. The processor derives properties of the fluid from the fluid density and the Marsh funnel time. A machine-learning algorithm is applied to the properties of the fluid. The machine-learning algorithm determines a plastic viscosity and a yield point of the fluid. Output of the machine-learning algorithm is stored for future use. Properties of the drilling fluid are adjusted based on the output of the machine learning algorithm.
