  • Patent number: 4924496
Abstract: An automatic incoming telephone call number display system for detecting an incoming call and identifying the party associated with the incoming call number. The system includes a directory of telephone numbers and parties associated with those numbers. Circuitry detects the origin telephone number of an incoming telephone call and compares that number with numbers in the directory for identifying the calling party. A display permits the user to view the incoming call number and party associated with that number.

  • Patent number: 4817785
Abstract: An incubation chamber for incubating a number of microbiological test trays such as susceptibility trays and identification trays holds a number of tray carriers in a pair of stacks. An elevator is provided to move any given carrier to a position at which it can be removed from the incubation chamber and moved to an inspection station at which the trays thereon may be inspected to determine the results of the microbiological tests. The image of the test tray at the inspection station is processed to determine test results.

  • Patent number: 4004223
Abstract: A resistance or voltage tester for producing an audible tone that varies inversely with resistance or voltage. The device comprises an audible wide range resistance and medium range voltage tester in the form of a rectangular small box designed to fit into a shirt pocket. The tester includes a speaker driven by low current logic gates and a transistor. The frequency of the speaker varies inversely proportional to the measured resistances ranging from zero to over 50 megohms and also inversely proportional to the voltage measured. In particular cases, the device can also be used as an audio signal source and with the use of a suitable probe the voltage range can be increased to +400 VDC or 260 VAC.
