  • Patent number: 4112127
Abstract: A dough processor is disclosed in which a pair of parallel rollers are geared for coacting space relationship to pass a predetermined amount of dough therebetween. Means are provided to adjust the spaced relationship between the rollers, and in fixed dimensional relationship each to the other so that firm spacing takes place as the dough is repeatedly processed between the rollers. A preferred ratchet type mechanism for adjusting the space between the rollers is provided. Gear reduction for the handle permits use by the average homemaker, and optionally the same may be power driven. The method contemplates the steps of sequentially and repeatedly passing the preformed amount of dough through the rollers, and adjusting the space closer and closer until the desired thickness is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4079917
Abstract: A whipper is shown having a crank secured to a gear housing assembly which in turn orbitally drives a beater plate, the beater plate having three beaters secured thereto in removable relationship. The gear housing assembly is proportioned to fit atop a substantially cylindrical bowl, and the beaters with their included tines are proportioned to extend downwardly in open ended fashion. The gear housing assembly includes a housing which is removably secured to the combination of the beater plate and the ring gear plate by means of a bayonet-type fastener at the periphery of both which coacts with the housing, and more particularly the crank to removably secure the same. An ejector is provided within the housing to assist in removing the crank, and free the housing for rotation with respect to the combination of the ring gear plate and beater plate and associated gears to separate the same for purposes of cleaning.

  • Patent number: 4077123
Abstract: A cutting board case and knife set is shown in which the cutting board comprises two halves, folded along a center line, and secured together by means of a sliding bolt type latch. The two halves are hinged, and each half has a knife handle recess which accommodates one half of the handle of the knife, the cutting blade extending longitudinally adjacent the center fold portion of the cutting board. The two halves of the cutting board, when folded together, have a releasable lock and provision may be made for a hanging handle, and also for stopper buttons on the base used to secure the same against dislodgement. The forward end of the cutting board is tapered, and the preferred knife handle is kidney shaped with a flat base for guiding the same along the cutting board, a finger guide at its forward portion, and a central open grip.

  • Patent number: 4038892
Abstract: A food slicer with an indexing turret is disclosed in which the turret has four faces, two of which have upstanding blades of different sizes on opposed faces, and two of the faces have a different offset relationship to the center line of the turret. An angled blade is provided in a table blade segment opposed to the angled turret. A table lock segment slidingly fits into the body of the slicer, and its angled front edge portion locks the indexing turret into position for the varying slices to be made. A pusher which is held by the hand is held on top of the foodstuffs to be cut, and optionally has a guide underportion which, when approaching the last slice, engages the body side guide rails in order to minimize the amount of uncut foodstuff. The table blade segment may be positioned by means of a table blade latch into two parallel ways, one above the other, thereby providing for two different thicknesses of slices due to the position of the blade which is angled at one end of the table blade segment.

  • Patent number: 4027419
Abstract: A fishing rig which includes a housing for a spinning reel, a short rod section which pivots at its anchor end to engage the underneath portion of the reel housing, and a closed "C" shaped handle which also serves as a storage chamber for the lure, bobber, or other fish catching element employed at the end of the line. The handle is thin enough to fit in a fisherman's pocket for carrying, and also includes a belt hook for holding the rig to free the fisherman's hands. The bobber construction disclosed is of a floating member, unweighted, and which slides along the line to a point where a knot may be tied to determine the depth to which a weighted hook will sink, the bobber being slidable along the line to permit casting with the bobber adjacent the sinker.

  • Patent number: 3955278
Abstract: A cutting board and knife set is disclosed in which the cutting board has a handle which is recessed to receive the handle of a knife having a complementary configuration to the recess. The recess in the cutting board handle is characterized by a pair of opposed locking tongues which fit into opposed locking recesses or tongue slots in the knife handle. A keyhole is provided also in the cutting board handle for hanging the same on the wall while the knife is lodged in its nesting configuration. At the end of the cutting board opposite the handle, a bevel type scoop is provided in order to pick up pieces of food stuffs that may have fallen off of the cutting board onto a working surface. The material for the cutting board is a high density polypropylene which resists scarring, and is in injection moldable, thereby providing a cutting surface which is pebbled for long life, easing cleaning in a dish washer, and good sanitation.

  • Patent number: 3931414
Abstract: A cohesive mass is prepared from substantially dry fish food mixture, containing at least fish meal, pulverized freeze dried fish eggs, and water. The resulting fish bait composition is further modified by adding a water activated natural plant binder such as a vegetable gum, a starch, a dextrin or other like material. The pulverized fish eggs are water activated to contribute natural animal binding materials. The resulting mass has sufficient cohesiveness to be retained on the hook during casting or throwing movement of the hook and during water entry of the baited hook. The fish bait composition thereafter undergoes controlled dispersion in the water to attract the fish.
