  • Publication number: 20080223371
Abstract: A nose guard mask made from thin polymeric film has a nostril filter element permanently bonded thereto. The remaining mask portion is coated with a skin nourishing moist cream. When the mask is applied to the nose of the user, the nostril filters line up with nose nostrils of the user. The mask portion is attached to the user's face by surface tension forces of the skin nourishing, moist cream that emits a pleasant fragrance to block unwanted odors. The mask is unobtrusive, having a relatively small size and designed color that make it barely visible. It provides nourishment to the skin of the user, and filters dust, pollen, infectious bacteria and viruses to thereby protect the wearer against infections caused by germs. A nose bridge bendable strip may be adhesively attached to the polymeric film at the bridge location to provide additional support for the mask. The ends of the bendable strip may be adhesively coated on both ends to act as a nasal dilator.

  • Patent number: 7424843
Abstract: A wrapping paper storage device and dispenser supports a sheet of wrapping paper between the top wall of the dispenser and a flap member. This support continues throughout the cutting operation, so that curling, wrinkling or edge deformation of the wrapping paper is prevented. The flap member is provided with a flap slot in a hard polymeric sheet. An upper surface of the top wall of the dispenser is comprised of a hard flat polymeric sheet. The cutter traverses the flap slot when contacting the hard flat polymeric sheet, thereby severing the fully supported wrapping paper in a reliable, efficient manner. The cutter may be a separate cutting implement, such as a razor blade or knife. It may alternatively comprise an integral, spring loaded, slidable cutter that rides in the flap slot.

  • Publication number: 20080173404
Abstract: A segmented adhesive dispenser in the form of a sheet or roll has a polymeric sheet coated with easy to release coating. Adhesive segments carried by the polymeric sheet are removed from the segmented adhesive dispenser and applied to gift-wrapping wrapped on a gift box. The adhesive segments have substantially completely coated adhesive coverage on the polymeric sheet contacting side. The opposite side of the polymeric sheet is uncolored or decoratively colored, printed or patterned. The adhesive segment has a tab provided on one corner or edge, which is removed after placing the adhesive segment on the gift-wrapping. Upon removal of the tab, the adhesive coating directly below the tab secures the adhesive segment to the gift-wrapping without wrinkles or dangling unsightly portions on the gift-wrap. Removal of the adhesive segment, and its application to the gift-wrapping is readily carried out by a one-hand operation.

  • Patent number: 5491991
Abstract: An antitheft device for automobiles that inhibits rotation of the steering wheel while preventing the theft of dashboard equipment, such as car stereos. The antitheft device includes a clamp that is secured to the rim of a steering wheel by a housing having a locking mechanism. The housing and locking mechanism also secure an elongate rod thereto. The rod is secured to the housing such that it extends towards the vehicle's dashboard. The rod includes a blocking member secured to its distal end that is positioned in close proximity to the dashboard equipment to prevent its removal. The housing may be adjusted angularly with respect to the clamp while the rod may be adjusted in a telescopic fashion with respect to the housing so that a wide variety of dashboard configurations may be accommodated by the antitheft device. The theft of a car stereo is blocked while rotational operation of the steering wheel is obstructed by the antitheft device extending therefrom.
