  • Publication number: 20170102216
Abstract: A structural sandwich panel including a structural sheet bonded to two adjacent sheets with a plurality of spaced columnar projections extending perpendicularly from a local face from the sheets. The sectional panel may be interposed in a void of a double-wall ballistic sandwich panel. The panel provides an interconnected interstitial space between layers that may serve as a filler space for the placement of force diffusing material such as ball bearings to deflect and defeat any projectile when used as a ballistic panel in light amour vehicles, water craft, personnel protection and building structure or equipment, but also provides maximized structural rigidity in the length and width direction of a product.

  • Patent number: 9009196
Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to database access. In aspects, a request for access to a database is received at a node of a database cluster. Also received at the node is an intent associated with the request. If the intent is to potentially write to the database, a primary instance of the database services the request. If the intent is to read from but not write to the database, an identifier of a secondary instance of the database is sent to the requestor for use in accessing the database.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20060272120
Abstract: A cleaning device having a housing, a hose assembly and a cleaning head. The housing has a first supply tank to contain a first fluid, a recovery tank, a vacuum fan to generate a working air flow through the recovery tank, and a fluid pump having an inlet and an outlet. The pump inlet receives the first fluid from the first supply tank. The hose assembly has a proximal end connected to the housing and a distal end freely moveable relative to the housing, and includes a vacuum hose in communication with the recovery tank and a fluid hose in communication with the pump outlet. The cleaning head is connected to the distal end of the hose assembly, and has an inlet nozzle and a fluid deposition system. The fluid deposition system has a second supply tank to contain a second fluid, a fluid mixer to mix the first fluid with the second fluid, and a first fluid sprayer downstream from the fluid mixer.
