  • Patent number: 9374207
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of scheduling the reception of at least one System Information block by a mobile device being adapted to be associated with at least a first Subscriber Identity and a second Subscriber Identity, the System Information block being intended to the second Subscriber Identity and being broadcasted with a first periodicity over a network by at least one base station of the network in the form of a plurality of bursts, according to a given frame structure having TDMA frames, each TDMA frame comprising a plurality of time gaps, at least one first time gap of a first TDMA frame being allocated to communication activity on the first Subscriber Identity, at least one burst of the System Information block being broadcasted over the network during a second time gap of a second TDMA frame.

  • Patent number: 9288781
Abstract: A downlink signaling counter management method for a communication device is adapted to be simultaneously associated with at least two subscriber identities and to simultaneously provide radio receiving capabilities to less than all of the subscriber identities. For each decoding of a paging block for a subscriber identity, it is determined whether the paging block decoding was correct and whether a previous paging block decoding condition is fulfilled. The downlink signaling counter is updated with different values depending on this determination results, and on whether the paging block decoding was based on a maximum number of paging bursts.

  • Patent number: 9100888
Abstract: A Multi Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) modem capable of receiving paging messages related to at least two subscriber identities comprises a paging configuration block configured to determine whether a collision between paging occasions related to the respective subscriber identities will be systematic or not, and to launch, when the collision has been determined to be systematic, a reselection of a new cell for at least one of the at least two subscriber identities.

  • Patent number: 8855703
Abstract: A method of driving a mobile communication terminal in a cellular network, includes monitoring with a control unit of the mobile communications terminal, reception power levels between the mobile communication terminal and cellular network base stations at a predefined monitoring rate for each base station. Timing information values for a number of base stations are intermittently monitored by the control unit. Drift of the timing information values for at least two of the base stations is monitored and significant motion of the mobile communication terminal is deemed detected if at least one of the timing information values indicates a drift equal to or exceeding a given timing drift threshold. The predefined reception power level monitoring rate is reduced to a reduced reception power level monitoring rate for at least a number of the base stations as long as the motion of the mobile communication terminal is not significant.

Abstract: A downlink signaling counter management method is disclosed for a communication device adapted to be simultaneously associated with at least two subscriber identities and adapted to simultaneously provide radio receiving capabilities to less than all of the at least two subscriber identities. The method comprises, for each decoding of a paging block for a subscriber identity, determining whether the paging block decoding was correct and determining whether a previous paging block decoding condition is fulfilled. If the paging block decoding is correct, the downlink signaling counter is updated with a first value if the previous paging block decoding condition is fulfilled and with a second value if the previous paging block decoding condition is not fulfilled.
