    Abstract: A tap for coupling electromagnetic energy between first and second coaxial cables includes an impedance transformer, a probe for connecting the impedance transformer to the first cable, and a tap cable for connecting the impedance transformer to the second cable. Ferrite beads surround the probe and the tap cable to provide frequency-variable series impedances.
