  • Publication number: 20240143595
Abstract: A database system is operable to generate query output based on executing a plurality of operators of a query operator execution flow for a query. Executing each operator can include generating a set of output query rows based on processing a set of input query rows, maintaining execution tracking data for the each operator that includes at least one counter tracking at least one event type, and generating a set of execution tracking rows based on sampling the execution tracking data. The query output includes a final set of rows corresponding to a query resultant and a final set of execution tracking rows generated by at least one final operator based on an aggregation of a plurality of sets of execution tracking rows generated by the plurality of operators.

  • Publication number: 20240095342
Abstract: An automated checkout system aims to detect and disable certain functionalities of an auto-checkout client application if a user exhibits anomalous behavior. The system collects user interaction data to describe the user's interactions with the client device through the application. It then uses a behavior scoring model on the data to generate an anomalous behavior score, indicating the likelihood of anomalous behavior. For instance, if a user scans an item far from its usual location, the score may suggest atypical behavior. The system employs the behavior score to identify functionalities to disable by comparing it to a set of threshold values. Each threshold corresponds to specific auto-checkout application functionalities to be disabled if the behavior score reaches the thresholds. For example, if a threshold is related to identifying items by image capture, the system may disable this feature if the score exceeds the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20240086927
Abstract: A device may capture an image of a first machine-readable code, send a request to a server to obtain access to a user application at the device. The device may capture an image of an item offered by a retailer, detect information about the item included in the image of the item, and add the item to a virtual shopping cart. The device may receive payment information for purchasing the item in the virtual shopping cart, and generate a second machine-readable code comprising purchase information of the item. The device may present the second machine-readable code to a verification device for verifying the purchase of the item.

  • Publication number: 20240070526
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable variable and dynamic feedback to electronic activities by receiving event data and utilizing a feedback machine learning model to predict an average feedback attribute and an average feedback variability attribute based on the event data. A feedback data entry is added to a user profile to store the average feedback attribute and the average feedback variability attribute. A new event and a new event attribute are received for the user profile, and a feedback probability distribution for the new event is generated based on the new event attribute, the average feedback attribute, and the average feedback variability attribute. A new event feedback is generated for the new event based on a random selection from the feedback probability distribution and is output to a computing device associated with the user profile.

  • Publication number: 20240004882
Abstract: A database system is operable to determine a query that includes a join expression for execution. A set of input rows are dispersed for processing via a plurality of parallelized join processes in conjunction with executing the join expression based on identifying a first proper subset of the set of input rows based on a null-handling strategy. First rows in the first proper subset are dispersed for processing across the plurality of parallelized join processes in accordance with the null-handling strategy. second rows in a set difference between the set of input rows and the first proper subset are dispersed across the plurality of parallelized join processes in accordance with a join key-based assignment strategy. The set of input rows are processed via the plurality of parallelized join processes.

  • Publication number: 20230385278
Abstract: A database system is operable to determine a query for execution. The database system can execute a left join operation for the query based on receiving a plurality of left input rows, and forwarding all of the plurality of left input rows are forwarded. It is determined whether any right input rows match with each given left input row based on a hash map. When one right input row is identified as matching with the given left input row, a value of right input row is copied and emitted in conjunction with the given left input row. When no right input rows are identified as matching with the given left input row, a null value is emitted in conjunction with the given left input row.

  • Patent number: 11617870
Abstract: A control system and method for automatically adjusting the height of an external ventricular drain from a patient. The height of a pole supporting the bag into which the fluid is drained can be varied, increased or decreased, as driven by a motor. A drip chamber and collection bag that receive the fluid from the patient are attached to the height variable pole. An external fluid pressure tube is coupled to the patient at one end and to a pressure sensor at the other. The pressure sensor is coupled to the height variable pole. The system includes a feedback loop that adjusts the height of the external ventricular drain (EVD) to match the height of the patient's head. As the patient's head moves up or down, the variable height pole moves up and down a corresponding distance to maintain the patient's intracranial or intraspinal pressure, and therefore the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drainage rate, at a preset value.

  • Patent number: 11400675
Abstract: A fluid chamber for a shoe may be formed using pressure channels in a forming mold, eliminating the need to insert a nozzle or needles into the chamber for inflation. A fluid chamber so formed may have a smaller seal area than a chamber formed using an inflation needle, making the chamber more visually pleasing. Apparatus and methods for forming a fluid chamber in this fashion are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220138585
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a lens function using supervised learning techniques are disclosed. The systems and methods described herein can utilize labeled training data having a first dimensionality to train a model comprising a plurality of layers. At least one of the layers of the model can be a bottleneck layer. After training the model with labeled training data, weight values can be extracted from the one or more neurons in the bottleneck layer. The weight values can be used to generate one or more lens functions for an unsupervised learning technique. The lens functions can accurately calculate segmentation information for unlabeled data having the first dimensionality, such that relevant information is preserved for unsupervised learning and irrelevant information is does not affect analysis after segmentation.

  • Publication number: 20220076010
Abstract: A method of generating text features from a document comprises one or more processors grouping text comprised in the document into multiple logical text blocks, wherein each of the logical text blocks comprises one or more tokens. One of the logical text blocks is selected for generating features. Thereafter, logical text blocks neighbouring the selected logical block are identified. Further, the processer qualifies one or more of the neighbouring logical text blocks for generating features. The processor generates features for one or more of the tokens in the selected logical block using the qualified logical text blocks.
