  • Publication number: 20120272433
Abstract: A garment or pants construction that allows the waist of the garment or pants to expand by concealed elastic or fixed settings which enlarge the waistband at the pocket opening. The pocket opening being elongated and using elastic material at the lower end of the pocket opening so that the rotation caused at the changing of the waist size does not cause observable puckering or distortion to the fabric.

  • Patent number: 6058573
Abstract: A fastener system which can be utilized with leather type fabric, such as shoes for attaching decorative pieces which consists of a flat disk shaped member which has a protruding component which interlocks with another flat disk shaped component which has a receiving component. The tolerances allow the two disk shape components to be affixed together such that they hold an ornamental piece in a certain position. The two disks sit parallel with each other or can be dimensioned to allow one to sit into the other such that on one side the two pieces create a relatively flat surface in relationship to the surface of the fabric. These configurations permit the ornament to be attached to the clothing without the feel of a lump or projection to the person wearing the article. This result is highly desirable, for example, at the instep of shoes where ornaments are often attached and the body is sensitive to any lump or projection.

  • Patent number: 5519893
Abstract: A flexible belt has a single male engagement member at one longitudinal end portion and a plurality of closely spaced female engagement members at its other longitudinal end portion. A belt keeper is supported near one longitudinal end portion of the belt to align the longitudinal end portions transversely when the single male engagement member engages one of the closely spaced female engagement members when the belt is tightened against the waist of a wearer. The belt composed of an inner lamina and an outer lamina to support a base member for each engagement member and for the belt keeper is constructed and arranged to hide from view the engagement members and the belt keeper when the belt is tightened around the waist and is free of any bulk increasing mass or localized folding that increases the bulkiness of the belt. If the belt has a buckle, the latter is used for belt ornamentation rather than connecting the longitudinal end portions of the overlapping end portions of the belt.

  • Patent number: 4606139
Abstract: A prefabricated shoe construction is disclosed which includes upper and lower mid-sole members which carry mating slots and hooks permitting the sole assembly to be easily assembled. A bottom sole is also provided having, on its upper surface, spaced-apart recesses located at the periphery of the bottom sole and located respectively to each of the slots to thusly firmly engage and house within such recesses each respective hook as it is inserted into and through each corresponding slot of the lower mid-sole member. When the bottom sole of the shoe has been excessively worn, the same may be readily replaced by the user, employing the detachable mating slots and hooks to replace the sole, without need for skilled labor.

  • Patent number: 4349970
Abstract: A shoe upper easily connected by a connecting device to a lower member or mid sole having a lattice structure. The shoe also includes additional connecting devices to releasably connect the heel to the mid sole and upper. The outer sole is connected to the mid sole by glue or double-sided tape. The mid sole is made from a synthetic material which allows breathing through the apertures in the lattice structure. Also, the outer sole and heel are removeably attached to the mid sole and upper to provide a shoe that may be resoled and reheeled inexpensively using ordinary tools.
