  • Publication number: 20260075181
Abstract: Eyewear such as a head-mounted device may include adjustable prescription lenses and/or displays. The eyewear may include gaze tracking circuitry that tracks a gaze direction of a user. A depth sensor may measure a depth map of an environment that is viewed through the lens. Using the principals of vergence, a fixation distance may be determined based on the binocular gaze directions of the user. The estimated fixation distance may be cross-checked with the depth map to obtain a more accurate fixation distance estimate. For example, when the gaze tracking circuitry detects a change in gaze direction that exceeds a threshold, a depth map may be analyzed to determine where the new gaze position intersects with the depth map. If desired, depth data may only be gathered and/or analyzed for a subregion of the environment surrounding the measured gaze position.

  • Patent number: 12518566
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that authenticate a user's identity by generating a representation of the eye (e.g., a signature) using coherence-based measurement (e.g., optical coherence tomography (OCT)). The coherence-based measurement may provide sub-surface information, e.g., depth, cross section, or a volumetric model of the eye, based on reflections/scattering of light, e.g., using relatively long wavelength light to penetrate into the eye tissue.

  • Publication number: 20250110043
Abstract: The disclosure relates to embodiments of optical measurement systems that are configured to perform spectroscopic measurements. The optical measurement systems are configured to provide compact arrangements for introducing light into a sample and collecting light returned from the sample. Reducing the size of the launch and/or collection architecture of an optical measurement system may make the overall optical measurement system smaller, thereby providing flexibility in integrating an optical measurement system into various form factors.

  • Publication number: 20240398224
Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that track a state of a user's eye (e.g., position/orientation, gaze direction accommodation, pupil dilation, etc.) using coherence-based measurement (e.g., optical coherence tomography (OCT)). The coherence-based measurement may provide sub-surface information, e.g., depth, cross section, or a volumetric model of the eye, based on reflections/scattering of light (e.g., using relatively long wavelength light to penetrate into the eye tissue).

  • Publication number: 20240272455
Abstract: A lens system may include overlapping lenses that shift laterally with respect to each other to provide vision correction. The lens system may include first and second lenses that include one or more freeform surfaces and one or more non-freeform surfaces. One or more of these lens surfaces may provide adjustable presbyopic vision correction and/or a static distance vision correction.
