    Abstract: A fishing line securing device comprises a structure having a notched groove defined in a top portion thereof. The groove is shaped as two diagonally opposing slits dug into the top portion of the device. A pair of corresponding overhanging shoulders project toward each other above the slits to retain a fishing line. A raised central ridge also keeps the fishing line secured in the slit of the groove. The device comprises an adhesive bottom surface adapted to adhere to an outer flange of a fishing reel or any other component of a fishing rod. The securing device may also be used in a variety of other applications.
